Even if that poll did accurately represent the larger population, after suppression efforts, 5-7 polling point leads for democrats in Georgia likely translate to more of those "very encouraging losses", so I'm certainly not getting my hopes up.
That there is an apparent late trend might be an encouraging sign. If Trump goes down there and once more and instructs his lemmings not to vote, and the Kami & Joe show does well ... who knows?

I applaud anything that motivates turnout. Even the conspiracy nonsense that will drive many trumpsuckers to the polls, as the sheer stupidity of it also motivates rational people to show up.
The locked door analogy fails in my case - I don't lock my doors. In fact there's one door to mu house that flat out doesn't lock. I re-built the mechanism last year, but the deadbolt part failed again.

Apparently Trump is going to travel to GA to reiterate his trope to the lemmings, letting them know that standing in line to cast a futile vote is totally pointless.

My mom, 86, living in Tucker (outside of Atlanta), voted in person in November (driven to the polling location by my brother) and for the first time in her life voted for the democratic candidate on a national ticket. And last week she went out again, insisting that she have "another say against Trump".

Yes. There are some older voters who are changing to the Democratic Party and all of my older friends have voted for the Dems, but then most of my older friends are either Black Christians or White atheists, a group that tends to vote Democrat reliably.

But, if you were to take a drive through my mostly White neighborhood, you'd still see Trump signs out in front of houses. The last time we too a drive out to see Jobar, we saw lots of Trump signs that were still in place and that was just last weekend. Trump seems to be turning people off in regards to the runoff election as he keeps saying it's rigged. Of course, I would never deny anyone their right to vote, but it's not going to break my heart if a lot of old Republicans sit this one. out.

I'll say it again. I can't wait until this fucking election is over!

I keep telling them that Trump lost when I drive by their homes, but so far they haven't listened to me. Most of the Trump signs have come down but the neighbors who I've complained about many times before, the ones who drive the noisey pick up trucks with the base blaring country music, and have a travel trailer in their front yard, still have their damn Trump signs out. No suprise. My favorite is on a nearby road. There is a Warnock/Ossoff sign in front of one house and the house next door stilll has a Trump sign outside. I have a feeling those two neighbors aren't very friendly to each other.

None of my Black neighbors have any political signs outside. I'm not surprised. They are probably afraid that the ones who the rest of refer to as the crazy rednecks might do something nasty to them. I kind of doubt it, but I can understand not wanting to be confrontational in a neighborhood that remains majority white. We still have a lot of neighbors who are in their 80s and 90s and rarely step outside. I don't know if they even vote.

It appears as if all the heavily Democratic districts have had a very high turnout, but Tuesday will be the day that we'll see if the Republicans turn out. I'm with Elixir on this. It's a good time to stock up on popcorn. Either that of go into hibernation until the end of the week.

Meanwhile, we're all hoping that Trump's rally on Monday night will keep a lot of his cultists home because he's been tweeting a lot about the unfair, rigged Senate race in Georgia. Why bother to vote if the election is so rigged?

That said, my biggest problem with Hillary was always the inorganic, calculated entitlement. Nothing was hers, everything was just a warped reflection of whatever she could twist into trying to make herself look good.

We don't look for "whatever polls best in the moment" from an executive. That isn't the point! Instead, I elect for principle and conviction. I still voted for her in the general because I realize that the naked greed of the alternative would go further in a more unacceptable direction, but not everyone has that resolve.

When someone bases their positions transparently on a moving or unfixed target, well... This is the indistinguishably same behavior of someone just telling you what you want to hear so they can pull a fast one on you. Many people see such positions of convenience as a warning sign of chicanery.

So posed between two people who just said literally whatever, so long as it sounded like that's what the audience wanted to hear, people went with the one who wasn't being subtle and cheeky about it, or just gave up for the election cycle.
