Mike Johnson and his AccountabiliBuddy

I certainly hope that the son can masturbate with or without porn. We have this thing called an imagination. Women rely on it all the time.

Since they share all of the information on their phones, what would dad do if he found out that his son was reading information from liberal websites, gay or trans discussion boards or IIDB?

I'm more concerned about when his son was younger, say 15, when they started using the software, what kind of things did Johnson expose his son to that Johnson may have been looking at. I mean, I'm okay with it if Mike Johnson likes to look at porn fetish of conservative men getting pegged by mature women while licking feet, but it's illegal and probably grooming to put his son in a position of seeing his father is looking at that stuff.

But why would one publicise this?
The context of his statement was in a discussion about technology, and making the point that although many parents fear the moral influence of the internet et al, it has also given us many powerful tools and means by which even teenaged children can be controlled effectively by sufficiently domineering parents, provided they are technologically literate.

For some reason the idea of the poor disappointed students at Hogwarts that sneak into the Restricted Section of the library.

It's just more fucking books on magic!

Every late night show I watched last night brought up this porn thing between the Speaker and his son. Actually, the shows were from Monday night, but I don't stay up that late so I watch them the next day. Why would you even tell anyone that you do this with your son? This Speaker is not just a religious nut, he's dumber than dirt. Of course to take the Bible literally, you have to be dumber than dirt or you just never think very much. It's hard to understand how someone with an advanced degree can believe this shit, which is why I often say that having a lot of academic letters after your name, doesn't always equate with critical thinking.

I'm not sure it's stupid as much as naive or arrogant. Maybe these all can be said to be the same thing, just coming from different perspectives examining the same person. In any case, it seems like Johnson is a very privileged, isolated person in some ways--he has previously been very protected because his job has been small-time within the ranks of very conservative Louisiana. He didn't have to be worried about being in a national spotlight or people looking into anything he said or did, publicly or privately. There is way more scrutiny now and in a short time, this was uncovered. If we extrapolate and predict, the extra scrutiny is going to reveal quite a bit more...and so it's plausible he will be the next George Santos.

So, which son, exactly? His adult black son, who he doesn't allow in family photos? That son?

This whole story is weird. Johnson out-Pences Mike Pence by far. I was CERTAIN the story came from The Onion. Guess I was wrong.

I recall from my long-ago fundamentalist youth of 50-60 years ago, ruminating over suggestive passages in the bible (King James translation). There were several interesting passages about the act of "knowing".

A bit of an ad hominen, perhaps.
This is on the same level as the big city Trump talking in a sexual way about his daughters, and pawing Ivanka, in public. The decadent hypocrisy in the actual, practicing Christian's statement seems to me less boorish, more sophisticated in its structure, and more exquisite.
