No doubt, the guy can kick. Him missing the chip shot was quite a shocker. And came up short on the 68 yarder, but it was on target and not short by much. But his miss was the difference at least on the scoreboard. Which is fine. He has contributed enough for the team, great kicker. Patriots penalties or inability to stop the defense without committing them was a much larger reason (if not nebulous) for the loss, and red zone converging. Also, the Colts had a ridiculously well played interception in the end zone in the first quarter.
Meanwhile, one of things that pisses me off in the NFL is helmet to helmet contact. Patriots tight end suffered a head on head shot, but nothing. Trevor Lawrence was sliding when he took a brutal shot which was on the wrong side of gray for close by not close enough to justify the contact. Rugby allows refs to go back in time and adjudicate a major penalty. Being ejected is almost nothing at all for a team, if it isn't a major player. In fact, the players most likely commit the penalty are much more likely to be expendable than the players they are targeting. It'd be nice if teams could be short one player due to a head-on-head contact (Sin Bin) for a period of time while on the field. Allowing it to be retroactive would greatly help the 33 or so refs on the field who originally missed the call. Make it even easier, by letting the decision be solely managed in the "Central office".
