Nov 3rd 2026 - GO OUT AND VOTE - democracy is on the line.

I voted a straight blue ticket on November 13th the first day of early voting in Georgia. I'll be in Indy until mid November, but I'm sort of sorry I didn't bring my t-shirt that reads" Vote your Ossoff" as some people here have told me they really like Ossoff. All of my friends have voted blue, regardless if they are atheists or Christians. My Black friends have the most common sense when it comes to voting. None of them have ever voted for a Republican and other than my 48 year old male neighbor who finally registered to vote, none of them have ever missed an election. I helped his 18 year old daughter register to vote. Hope they both voted by now.

You may at best change to a different cast of actors after voting. But the script of the play itself will always remain unchanged. To wit, regardless of blue or red you can entrust more spending, more fed created inflation, international wars, more rights for the bureaucracy in Washington DC, and less rights for everyone else.

That is what voting does for us today.

Do you think President Harris would have started a war with Iran? Or a tariff war with every country on Earth? Or support Russia over Ukraine? Or let Elon Musk decimate the federal government?

There are definitely some major themes that may take generational timescales to change but sometimes the details matter.

Not so much. The comedy in which DJT is sent to jail is a far more entertaining show than the tragedy in which DJT remains unchecked.

Even if not one single other thing could change (which isn't the case, despite your pathetic belief to the contrary), that difference alone would be well worth the price of admission.

The last time I checked, it was Republicans that started almost every one of the endless wars, although the Dems had a hard time ending them. Republicans are bringing back dirty air and water, destroying the EPA, and National Forests among other things. So, wake up and understand that one party is far worse than the other.

If we're going to spend too much, at least let it be for the average person and not for the military and tax breaks for the ultra wealthy. Neither party is perfect, but as the saying goes, "Don't let perfection stand in the way of good" ( some versions of that quote use progress instead of good )

"You"? Are you not local? You allegedly voted for the dumpster fire three times and now you shrug your shoulders over how pointless voting is?! You allegedly helped elect this shit show, which is not normal.

Some of that is accurate, some of that is a large bull taking a dump. The US trade wars, the whole Hormuz thing, whatever the heck Venezuela was, the betrayal of Ukraine. None of that is status quo in DC politics.

Voting today in most places will definitely a waste of time. In Ohio at least, voting is closed today.

An infuriatingly common phenomenon lately.
I’m too tired. If you stir them up they might vote again, and what they might vote for, you can’t predict due to past failures in the “rational behavior” arena.
