Kids reading from paer sand a song about killing ib the name of Allah.

It papered on FOX. CNN and MSNBC have not touched it yet. If it werer white supremacist's we would not hear the end of it.

It is being dismissed as an oversight, yet it was intentionally scripted. There is also taxpayer money involved. It has been known for decades Saudi funded Madrasas tech extreme Wahabianism.

You seen Jesus Camp? Not to make with the, 'they did it too' defense, but more of a... yes, there is extremism. The question is how widespread is it? There are a lot of people that see an isolated situation like this and use it as proof of "See... I told you they were all bad!"

I remember some of the hymns we sang in (Lutheran) church when I was a kid turned out to be pretty gruesome.

From the Fox article

"These are not isolated incidents; they are happening in major centers of the country – including in Pennsylvania," MEMRI said in a statement.

Of course, that's all they write and they don't follow that up with any actual research. Is this widespread or a one off?

This is their source's for saying the above's website: https://www.memri.org/

Looks like propaganda to me...

In Islam, it is quite widespread. But of course, left-leaning media tend to ignore it because of their "nothing to do with Islam" narrative.

So it's not newsworthy unless we have video evidence of this happening in all madrases? Unless somebody there videos the event, and the video somehow leaks out to us kafir (by for example, somebody accidentally posting it on their Facebook page), how are we supposed to even see any evidence to do research on?

This is their source's for saying the above's website: https://www.memri.org/

MEMRI translates Arabic, Farsi and similar languages to English, so we can see for ourselves what they say to their own people. That is a big problem with Israel/Palestinian conflict: Arab leaders say one thing to western journalists, but quite the opposite in Arabic to their own journalists/people.
Unless you have some reason to believe the translation is inaccurate, there is no reason to cast aspersions on MEMRI.

What hymns were they singing? Not these warring battle tunes, god forbid:

Battle Hymn of the Republic ("Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord... He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword")
Onward Christian Soldiers ("Onward, Christian soldiers Marching to the war... With the cross of Jesus going on before")
There Is a Fountain Filled with Blood ("There is a fountain filled with blood drawn from Immanuel's veins... and sinners plunged beneath that flood lose all their guilty stains")
There Is Power in the Blood ("There is power, power, wonder-working power in the blood of the Lamb")
I see a crimson stream of blood ("It flows from Calvary. Its waves which reach the throne of God are sweeping over me")
Come Sinners to the Gospel Feast ("Come, and partake the gospel feast. Be saved from sin; in Jesus rest. O taste the goodness of your God and eat his flesh, and drink his blood!")
Blest Is the Man Whose Bowels Move ("He, in the time of general grief shall find the Lord has bowels, too")
Ah, Lovely Appearance of Death ("Ah, lovely appearance of death! No sight upon earth is so fair. Not all the gay pageants that breathe can with a dead body compare.")

I remember some of the hymns we sang in (Lutheran) church when I was a kid turned out to be pretty gruesome.

"March on Christian soldiers, marching as to war! With the Cross of Jeeeesus marching on before!"

"He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored, He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword: His truth is marching on."

So it's not newsworthy unless we have video evidence of this happening in all madrases?

Its newsworthy, but we need to keep a sense of perspective. The quote from MEMRI doesn't seem to have any backing.

The sense of perspective seems to apply only to Muslims. The Saudi funded schools are teaching extremes. But the Saudis are our friends...

The fact that someone orchestrated that inside the organization is troubling. In any organization over time people know what others think and what views are held. I would be very surprised if leadership did not know the views of those involved.

The response was lack of oversight. And where is the outrage fro,m Muslims who will be tainted by this? We never hear that.

Update: Muslim American Society chapter's video of children speaking about beheadings was an 'oversight'

I admit I had wondered about the translation and how accurate it was, considering the source, but it sounds like the MAS is not contesting the content of the video, only trying to evade blame for it. While it is true that these views do not represent mainstream Muslim perspectives, letting a radical hate group rent your facility, and use your name in uploading videos to the world, is one hell of an "oversight" to make in politically tense times. Every right wing religious lobby will have heard of this by the end of the week, and they will have no trouble using it to achieve their own dubious and violent political agendas.

I think the only "oversight" is that they got caught by carelessly uploading the video to Facebook. The rest of their statement reeks of taqiyyah, aka 'lying for Allah'.
Muslim American Society has a wiki page, which states, among other things that they are considered a terrorist organization by UAE and that they were founded by Muslim Brotherhood members (although these days they disavow any connection - more taqiyyah?) Jamal Balawi, one of the founders, was even an unindicted coconspirator in the  Holy Land Foundation case. HLF was a bogus "charity" that really funneled funds to Hamas. Five of their officers were convicted and sentenced to long prison terms in 2008.

I always liked the French national anthem, 'La Marseillaise' , with its bloody, gory lyrics

Sick, sick brainwashing and psychological abuse of kids, that's what it looks like. And yes, this sort of thing deserves wider attention. Not stepping on the toes of minorities should not take priority, imo.

Do you want to know why no self respecting media outlet is touching this story? Because it comes from the Middle East Media Research Institute.

I dunno. This type of incident (far right religious figure of XXX religion spouts crazy hate talk at a big gathering; a few organizers claim ignorance; everyone moves on) happens all the time. It almost doesn't matter what denomination of xian they are, it won't make any waves at all, but if it's anything other than xianity (in the US), then you get panicked idiots claiming they're coming for the white women on at least some of the news stations.

We already know all about religious extremism of all flavors. In the U.S., however, this microscopic fraction of Muslim extremism does not compare to the very real and widespread disease of white supremacist extremism, hated, and violence.

Why don't you go to a Muslim country and ask the liberals and moderates there why they criticize Islamic extremism but not white supremacist extremism? But it's not a fucking problem there. That's why.

Strangely, I can't find the words (the report, not the video) on Memri's site, could Faux have been making it up?

And note that the main thing Memri does is translate Arabic stuff to show western ears what they are really saying. It's ont a propaganda site despite how many leftists try to claim it is.

While I've seen a lot of allegations of bad translations from Memri I have yet to see a decent rebuttal to any of their translations. If they're wrong show exactly how and what it should have said--something I have yet to find.

And this sort of thing is an example of what we are talking about with radical Islam. On the surface they pretend to be peaceful but then we keep seeing Memri expose this sort of thing.

Look at why they are rated questionable--always favoring Israel, always selecting stories that favor Israel, the Guardian says their translations are biased.

The Guardian itself has a major left bias, I have seen multiple examples of them ignoring the truth when it got in the way of a leftist position. Thus this part is not credible.

As for the other two--they aren't a news organization in the first place, their purpose is to translate such hatred for western ears. Of course that results in everything they "report" favoring Israel, it's not an example of them being dishonest.
