White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters that Trump recently underwent testing to investigate the swelling — including diagnostic vascular studies and an ultrasound of his legs — which revealed he has chronic venous insufficiency. The condition, which affects about 1 in 20 adults, is the result of blood not efficiently returning from the legs to the heart, often as a result of damaged valves in the veins.
If Leavitt said that, I can only assume Trump has a month to live... tops! I mean, sure, this wouldn't be a diagnosis that would be uncommon for a person as old as Trump. But Leavitt hasn't made a factual statement since taking the lectern, so all I can conclude is that my thoughts and prayers are with the family of Donald Trump.

Don't worry, at least 30 million people will be ardently praying for his health and recovery by sundown, if they aren't already. God demands the greatness of America.

I have been on diuretics for some time.
My edema is much better.
So, I cut back on the douse.
The main thing is you piss a lot.
I hate that part.
I hope they give tRump 40mg of Furosemide!!
He will piss his pants a lot.

A couple jokes I heard from last night's John Fugelsang show.

Trump's circulation is so bad his doctor refers to it as the failing New York Times.

His arteries are so hard they have to pay hush money.

There were more but I couldn't remember them all.

BMI and activity also play a part.
Trump's latest (April) physical gave his height as 6'3" and his weight as 224 lbs. (Except NBC News says that his weight was given as 239 lbs., and I have no idea how to slice that.) At 6'3" a healthy weight range for a man runs from 175 to 220. Obesity hits at 240.
As for activity, you decide. Most of his second term has been sitting at the Resolute Desk with his Sharpie. His afternoons on the links seem mainly to consist of a cart hauling his ass from hole to hole.
The facial complexion is strange, but then again this is Trump. The stump delivery is a shadow of the strident, bellowing tones that he produced for 90 or 100 minutes at a stretch, in his 2016 rallies.

Has any of the medical reports we've gotten on Trump ever actually been true?

It's not exactly a death sentence, but chances are good a few body parts will be buried before the rest of him.

WHITE HOUSE PRESS BRIEFING MONDAY SEPTEMBER 20 2027
Karoline Leavitt: (scowling) Good morning. I have a brief message about the President's health status, and then I will take a few questions. As you know, the President's left leg was successfully removed on May 31. Yesterday, the President complained of a mild headache and diminished energy, and his health team immediately did an assessment. It was agreed that the President should take an indefinite sabbatical to his Mar a Lago estate, for handicapped golf, banquets, some prayer, and golf. His team here at the White House is fully prepared to carry on his agenda of keeping America great. With great misgivings, I will take a question from the old gray whore, The New York Times. Charlie?
NYT: Will Vice President Vance move into the White House, and will he take an oath as acting President?
Karoline Leavitt: (scowling) No. I will take a question from the Associated Press, although it is the enemy of the people and its staff are essentially traitors. Ed?
AP: If Vice President Vance is not to assume the leadership role in the executive branch, who will take on those duties?
Karoline Leavitt: (scowling) The leg. I am happy to take a question from All Caucasian Satellite Radio. Humphrey?
All Caucasian: Did you say, 'the leg'?
Karoline Leavitt: (scowling) That leg has propelled the President through 8 decades of a fabulously successful life, and it has the driving force America needs to promote our interests in a challenging international scene. Follow up, Humphrey.
All Caucasian: How on God's green earth can a leg think, or communicate, or act?
Karoline Leavitt: (scowling) I would expect an insulting question like that from The Atlantic or the old gray whore. Have you heard of nerves, imaging, and speech-enabled AI? This is literally the President's flesh and blood, and his supporters will accept nothing less. I will suppress my nausea and take a question from NBC News. Edna?
NBC: Are you aware that a leg has veins and arteries, but no central nervous system, and therefore no consciousness?
Karoline Leavitt: (scowling) I find it insulting that you're trying to test my knowledge of vascular medicine and speech-enabled neuron translators. The leg knows everything the rest of its body knows about undocumented workers, the Deep State, and the need for tariffs. We will be proposing a bold new set of legislative goals in about two weeks. Over to the Communists at UPI. Don?
UPI: So...you'll have the leg go on TV in two weeks and describe legislative goals?
Karoline Leavitt: (scowling) Don, humor me for just a second and spell 'legislative', just so I am sure of the word you are using.
UPI: I'm using its basic meaning. Legislative. L - E - G -
Karoline Leavitt: (scowling) Stop. You just spelled leg, L - E - G. There is no legislation without leg. It's in the word, the word YOU used. This is on you. The leg is a foundation of the greatest modern President, and it will be the most notable leg in our history. And most Americans are proud of that leg, and most Americans support that leg. Some would even take up arms to defend that leg.
This press conference has concluded.

Heart failure? Huh? This is hardening of the blood vessels. The same forces also cause heart problems, but you can have one without the other.

I have found another Bible error; A simple typo.

Exodus 9:12 (KJV) - And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh...

Clearly this should read "And the LARD..."

Same thing happened to Trump. And to millions of Christans across the Bible Belt (that Belt may need letting out a tad).

And this too.

The problem isn't lard per se, but too much of it.

He is neither 6'3 nor 224#.
Have you seen him next to Jim Comey? Jim is 6'8" and about a foot taller than Trump.
Maybe if he borrows Puddinfingers' boots and ties himself to a big helium weather balloon, he'll be 6'3" and 224.

Oh wait - he won't be able to put on Ronny's boots because...

Should I feel lucky to be in a relatively stroke-free zone? Like I won't catch it, or something?

Many years ago my grandfather came down with dementia. Back then they called it hardening of the arteries and while he could always remember loved ones names he would get lost driving, forget when he took medicine, ect. But for somone 80 years old he could get out and take walks with a friend of family member or help pick up someone who fell at the nursing room and get them back on their feet without losing his own balance, ect.

30 years later my other set of grandparents basically become physical invalids. They can't walk well or do anything physical for long on their own. But they had their minds and were not intellectually disabled like my other grandgfather was.

A nurse and doctor told us that is usually how it goes. A person will decline rapidly with age and either lose their body and keep their mind or lose their mind and keep their body. Maby Biden is going into a dementia phase but retains better overall physical stamina whereas Trump keeps his mind but is going to lose physical ability.

Not all dementia conditions are the same. For example, the condition Bruce Willis has is particularly bad. My wife knew a person with the same condition. Her body lingered for a very long time after the brain went bad.

Starting with the bone spurs of the sixties, and moving on up to his physical checkups as Pres, no, it has all been dubious. The weight reports that don't match how he looks in his XXL golf shirts -- the crowing over his 'cognitive' test triumph with the person, woman, man, TV, camera -- it's actually meant to detect dementia. In his first term he had that weird slurred speech moment of "Gah bless Ameragggghhh." And origins/oranges, and later all the mixups on the campaign trail in '24. It's a sure thing that if aides are seeing major brain farts, we won't hear about it. If he truly starts to flag and lose coherence, they'll structure all his appearances to conceal the slippage. If there's no dramatic moment like a seizure or a collapse, this WH is going to coddle him and fend off the press. Not a hard task, anymore. It will be Project Woodrow Wilson, and they'll be very resourceful in pulling it off.
