The Border Wall Trust Fund Act, introduced Friday by Rep. Diane Black (R-Tenn.), would “allow the secretary of the Treasury to accept public donations to fund the construction of a barrier on the border between the United States and Mexico, and for other purposes.”

Since the Republican controlled congress won't provide the funding I support this, as long as those donations are not tax deductible.

Northerners will probably not participate at all and those that do participate will have less money to donate to republican candidates. The sorry bit of funding they will get will be an embarrassment.

Crowdfunding the wall is the perfect libertarian solution to the problem. Not only is no one going to be forced at gunpoint to pay for the wall, but the lack of sufficient funding will mean that the impediment to free association will not be built!
