Special Counsel investigation of Trump part 2

Biden should just sign a blanket pardon for himself, for everything he has ever done in the past. Then sit back and watch as the MAGAts heads explode trying to reconcile impeaching Biden and saying Trump can pardon himself.
MAGAtards would counter that Joe Biden isn't really president because of all the election fraud. As such he has no legitimate presidential power as does Don the felon Trump.

It's unclear if the information was accurate, but the episode was investigated by Smith's team.

Thing is, Trump is simply too stupid and arrogant to share anything but the actual intel. He'd say "I know this might not be accurate, but my people tell me the sub can do...." and rather than throwing them a bone that leads them off the trail he'd tell them the exact distance as told to him.
Perhaps true, but I can't help thinking of The Orange Narcissus's compulsion to exaggerate bigly.

Shit. What if they side with Trump, tho?
If they do side with Trump, Biden could walk up to Trump, put a bullet in that empty cavity between his ears, and all that could be done to him would be the risk of being impeached.
And right now, if Mike the Johnson could get Sleepy Joe and Kami in a room together, he could blow both of them away and presto! He's both president and immune from prosecution. Then he can declare himself dictator, abdicate, bequeath his throne to The Orange, and finally enjoy the pleasures of Jabba's stolen fortune.

But would he not have immunity until he was President? And he wouldn’t be President until *after* the act for which he is trying to claim immunity.

Unless…hmm…being President makes you immune to all crimes future and past! Then all the cases against Trump should be dropped. Maybe his lawyers should claim that defense.

Or maybe we should keep it simple - if you’re old, white and rich, whatever you do cannot ever be a crime.
Oh, wait … 🤔

I'm pretty sure Trump has basically said as much. He thinks that if you've been President, you cannot be prosecuted for anything. That's why he's so desperate to be reelected. It will give him double secret immunity.

Messages from Pennsylvania Representative Scott Perry's cell phone could include evidence about Donald Trump's alleged criminal attempts to overturn the 2020 election results after a judge allowed large numbers of them to be handed over to federal prosecutors, legal experts have said.

In a ruling on Tuesday, Chief U.S. District Judge James Boasberg said that more than 1,600 communications sent from Perry, including texts and emails, can be handed over the Special Counsel Jack Smith's office after rejecting the argument they fall under the U.S. Constitution's "speech or debate" clause. The clause states that members of Congress can't be questioned in criminal investigations on matters relating to their legislative duties.

Perry, the chair of the House Freedom Caucus, had his phone seized by the FBI in August 2022 as part of the investigation into the attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results. Perry is alleged to have been in frequent discussions with Trump as part of the plot to install Department of Justice official Jeffrey Clark as attorney general to support the false claim the 2020 election was rigged in the final few weeks of Trump's presidency.

“being President makes you immune to all crimes future and past! Then all the cases against Trump should be dropped.”

Yes, and Sleepy Joe should then shoot him in the head. It could look just like a ketchup fit. Then Joe could fire Kami, appoint Hunter VP, then croak, and President Hunter Biden could carry on the Biden Crime Family tradition without having to deal with the competing Mob so much.

No need to do all that when you rig elections without leaving any evidence.

It must be devilishly scary for cognitively challenged religious conservatives to witness a "stolen" election and have absolutely not one shred of evidence to support their beliefs. Hey! Wait a minute! That sounds familiar. Where else have I heard that...?

Ronna McDaniel was in on it too.

(The Hill) – Former President Trump pushed Michigan canvassers to not certify the results of the 2020 during a phone call, according to recordings obtained by The Detroit News.

“We’ve got to fight for our country,” Trump said on the recordings, per the Detroit newspaper. “We can’t let these people take our country away from us.”

The call, in which Trump pressured Republican Wayne County Canvassers Monica Palmer and William Hartmann, occurred on Nov. 17, 2020, according to The News. It also involved Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel.

“If you can go home tonight, do not sign it. … We will get you attorneys,” McDaniel said on the recording, per the newspaper.

Exclusive: Recordings, emails show how Trump team flew fake elector ballots to DC in final push to overturn 2020 election

Two days before the January 6 insurrection, the Trump campaign’s plan to use fake electors to block President-elect Joe Biden from taking office faced a potentially crippling hiccup: The fake elector certificates from two critical battleground states were stuck in the mail.

So, Trump campaign operatives scrambled to fly copies of the phony certificates from Michigan and Wisconsin to the nation’s capital, relying on a haphazard chain of couriers, as well as help from two Republicans in Congress, to try to get the documents to then-Vice President Mike Pence while he presided over the Electoral College certification.

The operatives even considered chartering a jet to ensure the files reached Washington, DC, in time for the January 6, 2021, proceeding, according to emails and recordings obtained by CNN.

Sounds like a lot of people, including the Chief Idiot, should be up on conspiracy charges. They're also guilty of any charge any fake elector is facing.

Special counsel Jack Smith's team has uncovered previously undisclosed details about former President Donald Trump's refusal to help stop the violent attack on the U.S. Capitol three years ago as he sat watching TV inside the White House, according to sources familiar with what Smith's team has learned during its Jan. 6 probe.

Many of the exclusive details come from the questioning of Trump's former deputy chief of staff, Dan Scavino, who first started working for Trump as a teenager three decades ago and is now a paid senior adviser to Trump's reelection campaign. Scavino wouldn't speak with the House select committee that conducted its own probe related to Jan. 6, but -- after a judge overruled claims of executive privilege last year -- he did speak with Smith's team, and key portions of what he said were described to ABC News.

New details also come from the Smith team's interviews with other White House advisers and top lawyers who -- despite being deposed in the congressional probe -- previously declined to answer questions about Trump's own statements and demeanor on Jan. 6, 2021, according to publicly released transcripts of their interviews in that probe.
