Leftists also want to dismantle our military. What happens if we do that? Open season on the U.S.! Putin especially would love to attack us if we gutted our military down to the bare bones.

The argument from leftists is, "No one attacks us! We don't need this bloated military!" The irony is they don't realize our big military budget is what allows us to not be attacked.

Leftists are some of the dumbest people in the world. They also claim the threat of Russia in the 80's was propaganda. They claim Russia never wanted to attack us.

Many Democrats are warmongers and love the military and don't consider it bloated. For evidence look at how Hillary is attacking Tulsi in order to protect Warren. Tulsi is actually against war and in favor or bringing the troops home, which makes her a remnant of the days when Democrats actually didn't like war very much.

The only people I've ever seen say that the money could be diverted to socially "useful" goals were some of my fellow libertarians trying to get Democrats to back cutting the military. Democrats didn't like the suggestion since they like the military.

The Turks aren’t going to attack us; we’re both NATO.

We lost less than a dozen fighting ISIS. The SDF, of which the Kurds were the majority, lost 11k. Fighting our battle. And all Trump had to do was tell Erdogan “no way”. But because Trump is a compromised ass kisser, he rolled over for the Turks.
