Terrorists take over federal Building, threaten violence

Have you ever seen a photo where the earth wasn't flat?

Of course the whole craft from which this was taken was a hoax anyway.

This one:

Not proof--a disc-shaped world could cast a shadow like that.

The militants claim to be sovereign citizens, and they are going to set up a sovereign citizen grand jury to try the local sheriff for embaressing them. Woo! So what if the sovereign citizens of the area decide to set up a opposing soveriegn citizen grand jury to try the militants for sedition, harassment etc. What happens if everybody sets up sovereign citizens groups to battle those other sovereign citizen groups? Should the liberal denizens of talk freethought declare themselves sovereign citizens and form a national sovereign citizen snark council?

Thus they're foreign troops on US soil.

There's no SAM defenses there, call the Air Force.

The moon is upside down, when viewed from Australia, compared to its appearance when viewed from the UK. The same is true of the equatorial constellations, such as Orion. Additionally, the polar constellations visible in the UK cannot be seen from Australia, and vice-versa.

These observations (which I have made myself, and which any person with reasonable eyesight can make for themselves without any equipment at all) are only consistent with an approximately spherical Earth.

If they are sovereign citizens, then if they drive to the post office without a VISA from the embassy, are they illegal immigrants to our once-noble country? ARMED Illegals?

Maybe INS should be laying siege to the compound, not the FBI?

You should build a fence around the place and then make them pay for it.

I'm sorry, but in what world is that 2D photo not flat?

Or.... maybe it is just cloudy and you can't see certain things.

Yes.

I'd say it the other way. The moon is upside down, when viewed from the UK, compared to when viewed from Australia.

Fuck northern hemisphere chauvinism.

There haven't been any clouds here for about three days. It's mid-summer and we are having a mini heatwave.

Colbert had a good bit about this talking about how there are no police around the place keeping them in, so they can just drive five minutes to the local Safeway and get whatever supplies they want.

That's a bit more of an out-of-pocket expense than having their mothers ask people to send them stuff, though.

Well the last time they tried to send one of their own out for snacks, the dude stole the money and got drunk instead.

Yup, asking people to stop doing something on the Internet is possibly the last thing you want to do. In short order, the militia will be able to open up a porn shop at the Refuge.

These true believers honestly have no idea how stupid they look. "Time for action..." but not any specific action other than maybe destroying a fence. We are going to change the face of America, one fence post at a time. But first, I need to help Ammon pick the dicks off of the floor.

A foreign entity?

Oregon Rancher Says He Didn't Let Armed Group Remove Fence

An Oregon rancher whose cattle graze next to the national wildlife refuge that an armed group is occupying says he didn't give them permission to enter his property and remove part of a fence.

The group protesting federal land policy tore down a stretch of government-erected fence Monday near the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. The group says the goal was to give rancher Tim Puckett access to land that had been blocked for years.

But Puckett told The Oregonian ( http://bit.ly/200Lqq0 ) on Tuesday that he wasn't aware of the group's plans and "they didn't have my permission to do anything."

Puckett says one of his representatives allowed the group onto the property but didn't let them remove the fence. He says he works with federal officials on land management and his employees have repaired the fence.

Foreign, just roped off, grazing there? It is all lies. The fence was recently replaced due to damage, but the "foreign" American Government purchased the land over 100 years ago and nothing has grazed there in a while.

A foreign entity?

The Royal Navy... and I am not kidding. There is some weird belief about gold fringe flags being secret symbols.

Admiralty law/common law
According to sovereign beliefs, there are two types of law: common law and admiralty law. Since the U.S. went off the gold standard in 1933, sovereigns say, no one has been able to pay a debt with "real" money, and therefore the country has been operating under commercial law, which sovereigns equate with admiralty law, the law of the seas. Thus, they argue, completely speciously, that Americans have been deprived of their original common law, under which the government can only impose regulations on citizens with their consent, since 1933.
