The death of Tyre Nichols

I think there was a lot of pent up rage in the communities where there protests that was ignited by police violence.
It's this peculiar but dangerous conspiracy on the left the the police are just shooting up black people for no reason. Another example of statstical ignorace. So if there is "pent up rage," it because black people have been persistently lied to.

I agree, the police are not just going around shooting up black people. That's hyperbole. They do however make mistakes. They do also have a extremely bloody history with the black community. That history will take generations to clear from the culture (if I can even call it that) of African American's. A culture that was founded on at least 10 generations of complete and total destruction of their identity. It was just 60ish years ago that the civil rights movement was fresh on the communities mind. We just basically got freed. And you think within your grandmother's lifetime 10 generations of crimes committed against a people will just go poof? I want what you're smoking bruh.

This has nothing to do with inane conspiracy theories.Unlike you, I think black people understand their life experience.

No. It is an insane conspiracy theory. How many unarmed black people were killed by the police last year; the year before; and so on? You'd think it'sthousands based on the rhetoric. But it's not. Lying to people to get them upset over something that isn't true gets you this:

That'd be a strawman.
Another example of statstical ignorace.
Wow... that is awesome!
So if there is "pent up rage," it because black people have been persistently lied to.
Have you asked them? Do you give a damn what they really think? Or is right-wing cable a good enough cable into the eyes and experiences of black people for you?

I've asked multiple times. What is the explanation for the sudden jump in the black homicide rate starting May 2020? No answers yet. Lots of hand waiving. No alternative explanation coming. Is it, to protest the police we'll kill ourselves?

I repeat - I think black people understand their life experiences. From what I glean, these killings by the police are the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back. No one had to lie to a community to say “ enough is enough”.

What makes you think that black skin makes you special and smart enough to "understand their life experience" but makes me too dumb to do that?

No, there are explanations that you dismiss. Your explanation conflates correlation with causation, and logically places a significant portion of responsibility for the jump on the police.

So what is your explanation for the sudden jump in black homicide starting mid-May 2020? It's wasn't Covid. Why the jump at that time?

. They do also have a extremely bloody history with the black community.

Do you think that other people have "a extremely bloody history with the black community"?
Tom

Yes. Today it's young black males. Do you agree that 10 generations of rape, murder, slavery, lynchings, destruction of the family unit & community has no impact on the family unit and community 2 generations later?

No alternative explanation coming.
I gave you several alternative explanations. That you refuse to accept them does not mean they were not given. Your mind is closed and that's how you like it.

The rapid destruction of the black family unit began in the 1960s. Thank your liberal friends for that.

Yes, but the point was that they were trying to save black people and ended up with more black people dead due to their actions. The fact that more white people also ended up dead is irrelevant to the point.
They were trying to save black people from police violence.

So it doesn't matter how bad the result if the intent was good? You would throw the switch to divert the trolley from the track with one person to the track with ten people?
What are you babbling about now?
Once again, you resort to insults rather than address points you do not have answers for.

The supposed purpose of BLM was to save black lives. I'm pointing out the actual result was to kill blacks. The trolley (think of the standard trolley problem) was diverted from the guy killed by the police onto a whole bunch of people killed by criminals.
You seem to resort to made up responses that appear to be based on bigotry and bias rather than give actual responses, not to mention insulting other posters.

Worse by far, though, is that you misrepresent the mission of BLM, which I have brought over from their mission statement, in hopes that you will read the mission statement and become better informed.:

#BlackLivesMatter was founded in 2013 in response to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin’s murderer. Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, Inc. is a global organization in the US, UK, and Canada, whose mission is to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes. By combating and countering acts of violence, creating space for Black imagination and innovation, and centering Black joy, we are winning immediate improvements in our lives.

We are expansive. We are a collective of liberators who believe in an inclusive and spacious movement. We also believe that in order to win and bring as many people with us along the way, we must move beyond the narrow nationalism that is all too prevalent in Black communities. We must ensure we are building a movement that brings all of us to the front.

We affirm the lives of Black queer and trans folks, disabled folks, undocumented folks, folks with records, women, and all Black lives along the gender spectrum. Our network centers those who have been marginalized within Black liberation movements.

We are working for a world where Black lives are no longer systematically targeted for demise.

There is NO statement of purpose to save black lives, as you misrepresented in your post.
