The new Salem Witch Trials - Trans people

Egg prices are down here but beef prices have skyrocketed.
Part of RFKj's "MAHA" plan.
Americans will be much better off eating less red meat. Like, a lot less.

Amirite? Cranking up beef and pork prices will improve the health of America, right?
Tom
Not for cattle ranchers or pig farmers.
Maybe they'll go into the soybean farming biz. That'll help, amirite?

Republicans hate their own children more than they love their country; they'll burn the latter down, for a chance to regain control of the former.
They hate themselves, and just don’t do well identifying that emotion. So it’s transferred to others—projection.

A certain kind of person, often raised in an abusive environment, cannot tolerate in their offspring, traits that they were taught were weak or childish or immoral. Traits that they might share to some extent or fear they share or saw those who shared those traits treated badly.

My personal observation is that for the most part, people who are confident and happy with themselves tend to be more comfortable with and accepting of people who are ‘different’ from them.

People who spew hatred are not happy people.

Yea, I agree with that. I think that the larger issue is that they are weak. And weak people are bullies whom need someone to blame their problems on. When my Grandpa was on earth, people blamed jews, blacks, and Irish for their problems. When I was a kid, they blamed gays. Today, they blame trans. It's up to us, stronger people, to stand up for people being bullied.

I take it a step further: that people don't really hate those different from them, but rather those who are similar to them but whose mechanism of coping was self-acceptance rather than aelf-rejection.

Whole humans could potentially choose ANYTHING to ground their rejection, as you imply, usually it is related to exactly what of themselves they seek to reject, because there is this inking even in my own mind that direct opposition is the surest way, if there's any way at all to reject it "of the self" (there's not).

It could break either way for many, I think, and part of the goal of the modern church is to make it blossom into self-hate and hate of all those who reject the anti-christianity of the modern "church".

I think you are right in some circumstances, especially regarding sex and gender and orientation.

I think people also hate out of fear and guilt. And dread.

And sometimes experience.

I will add to that. People tend to form groups and anyone outside of the group they marginalize and can turn it into hatred.

People join as many groups as they can without pissing off members of one group for being a member of a group that is that group’s outgroup.
When that happens it’s time to regroup.

And the other thing - it should be spelled groop.
At least that looks funny.

Really? Have we not progressed as humans?

I had a gay member of my staff come to me today in tears about this. This person is terrified and is looking for exit options from the US.

Sadly, I'm not surprised. And if the left doesn't get off their asses and vote in 2026, it's going to get worse.
The Left voted (except California). Elections are won in the Suburbs... and those people shifted enough to Trump. Because economy.
How's that working out for them?
I'm sorry, but weren't you against Biden/Harris because of Gaza?
That depends what you mean by "against". I was certainly upset by Biden's pre-walkback endorsement of the genocide, and was considering abstaining from the vote when he was still on the ticket. I voted for Harris in the election, though I disagree with her on many issues, and am baffled as to what her position even is on most.

Are you trying to ask whether I think making money or opposing genocide is ultimately more important? If so, I think you have my answer.
As for opposing genocide, how has that worked out? Do you think Trump has done any better on opposing genocide?
