That's stupid. "Play both sides" is one of the classic albums of all time, as any Head Cleaner fan can tell you.

After all, they sold a gillion of these cassettes….

It’s just annoying that there are so many bad cover bands trying to duplicate their sound. None of them holds a candle to the original.

John Cage was so good at marketing his cover (released as 4'33") that many people still think his 1952 release was the original, just because Head Cleaner didn't appear on the scene until the mid-1960s. But it's pretty obvious that he knew the band members prior to their commercial success, and I for one believe that he stole their sound.

Years later some of the band members reformed as Laser Cleaner . . .

Yes. Jefferson Airplane went through a similar modernisation to become Jefferson Starship, and finally just Starship.
