Wilmington, North Carolina (CNN)Donald Trump said Tuesday that if Hillary Clinton gets to pick Supreme Court justices, there's "nothing you can do, folks ... although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is."

The former head of the CIA, retired Gen. Michael Hayden, told CNN's Jake Tapper: "If someone else had said that said outside the hall, he'd be in the back of a police wagon now with the Secret Service questioning him."

US Secret Service communications director Cathy Milhoan told CNN the agency "is aware of Mr. Trump's comments."

Hayden added: "You're not just responsible for what you say. You are responsible for what people hear."

The only other thing he could have meant was killing SCOTUS justices.

Taken in context, killing was what he referred to. When I saw the end of the quote I just figured he meant to fight changes in court. When I heard the full quote in the video, it was infuriating.

Sounds like he was hinting at a citizen's (militia?) coup. That could work in a much smaller and unstable country. No way in hell a militia coup is gonna happen in the USA now. Looks like he wants his own brownshirts. That is a good way to trip him up in an interview.

Why did no one else come up with this interpretation?

Anyway, it is also possible that he meant assassination, but that would not work. Does Trump understand the line of succession? (ok, that is a rhetorical question - the answer is no) The losing candidate is not in it.

According to organizers' count there were 400 of us. We watched people go in and come out. They heard exactly what the video tapes show them hearing. No one I talked as we were all walking back to our cars who had attended the rally would admit to hearing what every news agency in the hall recorded. The denial and delusion is EPIC!

Not necessarily. People can convince themselves of many things. And I am sure by morning, they will have convinced themselves that what Trump really said was "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want."

Remember these are people who have convinced themselves that the reason they are one pay check away from eviction, one illness away from financial ruin, is NOT stagnant wages and bad healthcare policy but a man they will never know who is here somewhere they will never go is here without documentation.

Scared people who do not know how to quell the fear or understand why they are being made to suffer will gladly believe any fairy tale you tell if it says the reasons are simple and not their fault.
