Trump is deliberately turning Republicans into violent savages

Yes. Things are going to get ugly real fast. It is the culmination of racial and xenophobic hatefulness that ultra-conservative right has been unleashing on America for years now. Trump seems to think he was clever to play to this ugliness, but was too stupid to learn from recent American history doing this sort of crap has consequences. There was going to be pushback and reaction to his actions. And nobody can now predict where all of this is going to go now except to predict it will be ugly and fierce.

And this looks like it will be the new issue that American politics may well turn on for the following decade,

And the radical left who is intent on disrupting and shutting down those who disagree with them is innocent in all this?

It's amazing that you can watch those clips and come to the conclusion that the liberals are the ones causing the problem.

I no longer feel comfortable knowing that you participate in society.

Liberals are responding with words.

Conservatives are responding with violence.

According to you, conservatives are not wrong for using violence, but liberals are wrong for merely speaking.

And you feel absolutely no shame for making an argument like this.

There is no radical left here. Just people tired of the right's institutional racism, xenophobia and general bad attitude. You can only kick people so many times before there is a reaction. Trump thought he was oh so clever to play to the mob, and he is turning out to not have been clever at all. By playing on his mob's hates and fears, he has made himself a target. He became a purposeful troll and now is paying the price. And this is how reality works. The GOP has been building this bomb for years and Trump cheerfully and happily lit the fuse.

They are the ones initiating the conflict. It is not Trump supporters that disrupt Bernie's rallies after all.
Again, I do not condone violence from either side, but occupying a rally venue, storming the stage etc. are not acceptable behaviors either.

Ditto.

LMAO!

What xenophobia? Not be willing to open the borders to millions of illegals is not xenophobia. I disagree with much about Trump, but he is right about illegal immigration and the need to control our borders.
I also disagree with people disrupting and shutting down opposing party's rally and that you do not see those people as radicals says a lot about you.

It isn't just Trump. The GOP made a deal with the devil over three decades ago and now the devil is getting his due.

Ironically, Trump is turning Americans into more like Europeans than Sanders could ever dream of.

Hillary Clinton, speaking in Cleveland has just spoken out strongly about Trumps divisive and violent rhetoric at his ralliesand in media appearances. Its now a campaign issue.

Just heard on Faux news. Videos from Cruz, Kasich and Rubio, raking Trump for his provocative speeches and violent language. These guys know Trump's antics and his supporters resultant bad behavior may well have repercussions down the political line. The pressure is now on big time. Trump cannot get away with this much longer. The blood is in the water and the sharks are beginning to circle the hapless vulgarian Trump.

Plenty of blame for both sides here.

Attempting to shut down his rally was wrong.

Responding with violence to the attempt was also wrong.

Really?

A handful of people is going to shut down a rally of thousands?

I hope you're right, but I wouldn't count on it. So far Trump has been able to get away with things that most of the punditry didn't think he could get away with. We'll have to see what happens down the line. Many of the votes in FL have already been cast due to early voting, not sure about the other states. What happens in states that haven't voted, or started early voting yet, may be a better reflection of where this is going.

Ah, "both sides do it." That old chestnut.

The difference here is that the leader of one side is on record - as the video in the OP clearly demonstrates - advocating violence.

Telling a crowd of supporters that you want to punch a protester, asking your followers to "knock the crap out of" someone, then promising you'll pay the legal fees for anyone who does so, then refusing to denounce an actual assault at your rally -- objectively this is the definition of instigating violence. He has literally told his fans to engage in acts of violence.

Now of course the people who resorted to violence in an effort to shut down Trump's rally are in the wrong, but they were not instructed to do so by either the front-runner of the Democratic Party or her challenger or anyone in the leadership of the Democratic party. Nobody in the Clinton or Sanders camp and nobody from the DNC is advocating for violence against protesters.

Had Mr. Trump handled protesters with even a modicum of civility, would this have happened? I don't think it would have. But because he - as the public face of the GOP - has made it clear that violence is acceptable when it comes to his rallies, set the tone for what happens. I'd even go so far as to say he's happy that this incident happened, because once again Trump is at the top of the headlines...this time playing the victim.

Trump got away with this because his fellow Republicans either did not call him on it, or excused him for it. No more, politically this all gives them a hammer to stop Trump now it seems quite probable he could with the nomination and lose the general election big time. From here on out he will not be able to get away with this. The idea Trump was a flash-in-the-pan that would soon fade away was an illusion. His bad behavior is now going to be ruthlessly used against him. The videos I pointed out above show Trump being dogpiled now by one and all. And not in anyway gently or leaving him much wriggle room.

The best Trump can hope for is to dial this back and hope it all fades away. But his opponents in the Stop Trump movement may not let that happen. The blow back here is, the dog whistle politics they use may be up for criticism now also. Its a damnable puzzle that is going to be damned interesting to watch how this all plays out.

There is the old saw about trying to ride the tiger. Getting off the tiger without being eaten may be a bit of a problem.
