And exactly how is he going to do THAT? Federal elections in blue states would be run by State and local election officials. Presumably they would be as blue as their States.

I don't think he will. He is, as I observed earlier, dumb as a brick and ill-equipped to carry off a proper coup.

Postpone the election? Impossible. Steal it? That could only happen, I think, if he lost the popular & e.c. vote and still demanded recounts and got whole categories of votes thrown out. I find that improbable.
What is most probable is that he will declare that he actually won, that he was the victim of history's most fraudulent election. He'll go the grave with that, as he collapses slowly into a KFC mega-meal. But before that, he'll continue to do rallies, as they are his drug of choice, and he'll milk his martyrdom for every precious arena roar.
And that would still be an incredible amount of damage to the country -- to respect for law and institutions, to civility (what we still have of it), to sane dialogue (okay, that's pretty much gone in the U.S.)

Nobody can stage a successful coup without the strong support of at least a large fraction of the military.

Trump seems to have managed to piss off almost everyone of the rank of Colonel and above; And plenty of more junior officers.

If he had a half dozen Generals in his pocket, I would be worried, but all evidence is that they despise him, and only tolerate him due to respect for the office and rank of Commander in Chief. Given a choice of CiC claimants with equal claims to the position, I suspect they would lean towards Biden rather than Trump.
