Trump VS COVID-19 Threat

The virus is certainly a threat. But it is not a threat on the level of, "OMG! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!"

Yeah, we should all take solace from what we are told by THIS GUY:

My prediction is that by April we will be laughing going,
"Remember how everyone panicked over the coronavirus
because the media started fear mongering?"

Whatever you say, Kimosabe. Are you laughing yet?

Couple of facts for you:
NEW RECORDS TODAY
Total Cases: 123,578
New Cases: 19,452
Total Deaths: 2,221
New Deaths: 525

Meanwhile you're still posting crap like
This quarantine will work. I guarantee it. April 12 we will be up and running.
The cases are going to start declining in the U.S. starting around the next few days.
By April 1, we will see a steady downstream and be on our way out.
You GUARANTEE? I guarantee you're wrong.
There is no reason to believe we are anywhere near the top of "the curve", with only 7 people per million dead. The smaller countries with more dead have 128 to 166 dead per million population and they're not done yet.

Yes, a lot of people will die and it's tragic

A lot of the tens of thousands that are going to die in relatively short order, are direct victims of Donald J. Trump's inaction, failure to heed intelligence warnings and desire to downplay the danger as you continue to do, by lying about it.
That's not just tragic, it's criminal.

WHERE'S THAT "STEADY DOWNSTREAM", HALFIE?

How many more record days before you admit that your "steady downstream" bullshit is just bullshit?

Wow, I come back to look around and 69 pages in this thread eh? Are there Trump humpers actually defending this orange clown? Trump is going to cost a LOT of people their lives, and I lament the fact that we cannot remove him from leadership. He is obviously completely overwhelmed, and lacks the mental capacity to deal with this situation. I only wish he was criminally liable for his leadership somehow.

The virus is certainly a threat. But it is not a threat on the level of, "OMG! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!" like the media wants you to believe. Yes, a lot of people will die and it's tragic, but it will eventually get back to normal.
But it's a MUCH worse threat than illegal immigrants or Islamist terrorists, a MUCH MUCH MUCH worse threat, and I know what you think about illegal immigrants and Islamist terrorists, Half-Life.

I marvel at the complacency that I see about the disease from the Right. The right wing normally prides itself on how attuned to danger it is, but here is a big danger, and many right-wingers seem happy with it.

I am a (mostly) rightist who also is concerned about this virus and global warming as well as immigration and Islam. Ecology, socialism for citizens and nationalism for the win.

Otherwise you are being led by the nose by the likes of Ben Shapiro and Charlie "Staple a green card to every diploma" Kirk.

American Idiot - Unprecedented - "A running list of the dumbest things Trump has said about the coronavirus"
July 24, 2018: “Don't believe the crap you see from these people, the fake news. ... What you're seeing and what you're reading is not what's happening.”

The Mueller Report? HOAX!

Impeachment? HOAX!

Coronavirus? What will those Democrats think of next!
It's hard to make selections from the dumb things that the author has collected, but I'll try.
January 22: “We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China. It’s going to be just fine.”

February 10: “A lot of people think that goes away in April with the heat — as the heat comes in.”

February 24: “The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA… Stock Market starting to look very good to me!”

February 27: “One day it’s like a miracle, it will disappear.”

March 5: “The United States… has, as of now, only 129 cases… and 11 deaths. We are working very hard to keep these numbers as low as possible!”

March 6: “I don't need to have the numbers double because of one ship that wasn't our fault.”

March 9: “This blindsided the world.”

March 13: “When you compare what we’ve done to other areas of the world, it’s pretty incredible.”

March 17: “I have always known this is a real, this is a pandemic. I’ve felt it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic… I’ve always viewed it as very serious.”

March 25: “It’s hard not be happy with the job we’re doing, that I can tell you.”

March 27: “You can call it a germ. You can call it a flu. You can call it a virus.... I’m not sure anybody even knows what it is.”

You hate the man that much huh? Well, there's really nothing he's done, at least proven that could be labeled criminal, but Americans do get the choice to throw him out this coming November!

Arguably criminally negligent. He argued that hospitals usually have one ventilator. Therefore NY doesn’t need them.

No. The full quote was...

"I have a feeling that a lot of the numbers that are being said in some areas are just bigger than they’re going to be,” he said. “I don’t believe you need 40,000 or 30,000 ventilators. You go into major hospitals sometimes, and they’ll have two ventilators. And now, all of a sudden, they’re saying, ‘Can we order 30,000 ventilators?’”

But, most Trump supporters will hem and haw and obfuscate, and throw red herrings around, and end up doing the dance of the ridiculous. It used to be mildly entertaining, but as many of us have said for some time, if this administration had to face a real challenge then may whatever god you believe in help us all. That time is here.

We're past the point where the cult of Trump is costing us money, worldwide respect, and giving late night comedians jokes that write themselves. Now people are dying. Now Trump literally throws out many so many pieces of false info that many are clamoring not to broadcast the live Coronavirus broadcasts anymore and have the networks make a "hi-light reel" with only the factual information therein. Yes, Trump is already past the point of criminal negligence by far, and I'm morbidly curious to see how bad things get while Trump humpers continue to defend their cult, crying "Chinese virus" while bodies are literally being stacked in ice skating rinks because the morgues are full and loved ones never get the chance to tell their relatives goodbye.

Also arguing with such people feels cathartic at first, but eventually the sick feeling you get is similar to what one would feel in arguing with a defender of a white power or Nazi movement, or a supporter of a awful dictator, I would imagine. It lowers your overall respect for humanity. Makes you feel like you need a shower after awhile. Fortunately, there are enough people that argue against the nonsense that at least some faith in humanity is maintained. That's been the hardest thing for me to accept honestly. How large a minority in America we have that are truly "deplorable" for lack of a better word.

yeah, the thirty thousand is part of a worst-case estimate. we're in an epidemic that attacks the respiratory system. Thry want thousands of ventilators to save thousands of lives.
Not only did Clownstick act like Como and other governors were out of place and exaggerating, he implied that they should only need a few more, with something like 'after all they only had 1 or 2 each before'.

And within 24 hours the Dotard finally invoked the war powers authority, and ordered GM to start building ventilators while pissing at them. And the point halfie, is that FFvC should have been treating this seriously back in late January (2 months ago). The medical leaders knew what would be in short supply, but Clownstick was too busy watching Fox, strutting about...oh and yeah of course golfing:

https://trumpgolfcount.com/displayoutings
2/1/20
2/2/20
2/15/20
3/7/20
3/8/20

But when Obama went on his non-stop golf trips, you guys didn't say a peep. You said there's nothing wrong with golfing.

Do you believe golfing is a problem or not?

LOL...you are always good for a diversion (REALITY: the point was about Clownstick being months late and billions short). Of course golfing is not a problem. Being president is a very stressful job, diversions like golfing is reasonable. Spouting lies and insulting past presidents w/o cause is an issue. Being a total hypocrite is an issue.

FFvC: “I would rarely leave the White House because there’s so much work to be done"

https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow...rump-s-intense-interest-playing-golf-n1121061
The Trump Twitter Archive shows the Republican whining about his predecessor’s golfing over and over and over and over and oover again. The implication seemed to be that Americans should perceive Obama as lazy and easily distracted.

Halfie, where were you went the alt-reality crowd was whining about Pres. Obama and his vacations?
GWB took way more vacations that Obama.

This is literally the biggest reason for governments to exist and Trump supporters are applauding his failure every step of the way, mocking naysayers all the while.

I was under the impression, but I could be hopelessly misinformed, that the Trump said NY doesn't need 30.000 ventilators.

You are full with misimpression’s. I’d like to say it was accidental, but due to the saturation of them, it is hard to accept any explanation other than willful.

Could just be another sad case of some fool believing what Trump says. There seems to be a lot of that going around.

Pelosi on Trump's coronavirus response: 'As the President fiddles, people are dying' - CNNPolitics
As US cases surge, Pelosi questioned when Trump was informed about the coronavirus and his knowledge on its potential impact. "I don't know what the scientists said to him, when did this President know about this, and what did he know? What did he know and when did he know it? That's for an after-action review. But as the President fiddles, people are dying. And we just have to take every precaution."

Asked by Tapper if she believes Trump's downplaying of the crisis has cost American lives, Pelosi responded, "Yes, I am. I'm saying that."

"Because when he made the other day when he was signing the bill, he said just think 20 days ago everything was great. No, everything wasn't great," she said. "We had nearly 500 cases and 17 deaths already. And in that 20 days because we weren't prepared, we now have 2,000 deaths and 100,000 cases."

...
When asked about Trump suggesting he wants to relax social distancing guidelines in parts of the country, Pelosi said, "His delaying of getting equipment to where it -- it continues his delay in getting equipment to where it's needed, is deadly. And now I think the best thing would be to do is to prevent more loss of life rather than open things up, because we just don't know."
