Trump VS COVID-19 Threat

Trump actually said a hospital has only one ventilator. My fucking gawd, his supporters are the dumbest political fools ever.

The philosophical question is, are the people people following the dumbest fool ever the biggest fools, or is the fool they're following the dumbest fool?

It's a cooperative effort to reach Olympic-competitive levels of stupidity. Levels no single human could reach, but maximizing the stupid in all respects.

Despite covid-19 spreading widely in America, Trumpo still meets weekly with his spiritual advisers and Bible study group. These silly people probably have church services and other public activities which mean they can easily be exposed to cv-19. Bringing it right back into the White House. Many Xians think they don't have to worry about CV-19, they can pray it away. This may prove to be interesting over the next few months. It would be a bit ironic if Trump's religious posturing in the end did him in.

yeah, the thirty thousand is part of a worst-case estimate. we're in an epidemic that attacks the respiratory system. Thry want thousands of ventilators to save thousands of lives.
Not only did Clownstick act like Como and other governors were out of place and exaggerating, he implied that they should only need a few more, with something like 'after all they only had 1 or 2 each before'.

And within 24 hours the Dotard finally invoked the war powers authority, and ordered GM to start building ventilators while pissing at them. And the point halfie, is that FFvC should have been treating this seriously back in late January (2 months ago). The medical leaders knew what would be in short supply, but Clownstick was too busy watching Fox, strutting about...oh and yeah of course golfing:

They had a pastor on Fox News talking about a recent New York Times article that said "Evangelicals hate science and are causing the spread!" The pastor said "most every church in the U.S. is shut down. 1 or 2 fringe churches are open and the media is using that as evidence that all religious people are insane and against science. That is extreme Trump Derangement Syndrome."

The side that claims religious people hate science is also the side that believes men can be women and women can be men. (not meant to start a discussion on trans people. Just pointing out the hypocrisy.) This is becoming a popular thing to say now when people claim religious people hate science.

Why the change of tunes?? How come you guys don't say, "A bartender AOC is pretending to be an expert in the coronavirus! HILARIOUS!!!!"

Because she isn't. She is deferring to the advice of experts, not pulling random facts out of one's arse like saying it will be a miracle the virus will magically go away in April. Or that the virus will go away when it gets warmer. Or cause a prominent immunologist to bury his face in his hand at abjectly stupid remarks.

Also, you are aware that there is a difference between a Representative and a President and what their roles entail, don't you? Or do you need another lesson from a foreigner on how your government works?

it is outrageous thast a game show host is pretending to be an expert in hospital thresst assessment, yes.

Keith, when it's pointed out that AOC was a bartender with no political experience you guys say, "That's OK! We need people like that in office!"

And when it's pointed out that trump had no political experience, you guys said, "No one belongs in office with no experience!!"

There is not a chance in FUCKING HELL thst you can support those claims.
You canmot find one person on this forum making both if those statements.
I know this because YOU always make this shit up.
So, no need to defend a 'change of tune' that no one has made.

But when Obama went on his non-stop golf trips, you guys didn't say a peep. You said there's nothing wrong with golfing.

Do you believe golfing is a problem or not?
I am old enoughbto remember bonespurs making a promise to never play golf. No one asked him to.
But he did. And e's played way more golf while President, than Obama ever did in office.

So, i ask you, knowing you won't answer, Do you believe president dishonesty is a problem, or not?

Or you could just put them on ignore. That way that makes fewer posts I have to see of their’s.

I know that every President tells lies. I never said Trump always tells the truth.

The Lost Month: How a Failure to Test Blinded the U.S. to Covid-19 - The New York Times
But as the deadly virus from China spread with ferocity across the United States between late January and early March, large-scale testing of people who might have been infected did not happen — because of technical flaws, regulatory hurdles, business-as-usual bureaucracies and lack of leadership at multiple levels, according to interviews with more than 50 current and former public health officials, administration officials, senior scientists and company executives.

The result was a lost month, when the world’s richest country — armed with some of the most highly trained scientists and infectious disease specialists — squandered its best chance of containing the virus’s spread. Instead, Americans were left largely blind to the scale of a looming public health catastrophe.

Unbelievable - Unprecedented - from March 18

Coronavirus Poll: A Lack Of Trust In Trump, Federal Government's Response : NPR
Trump initially underplayed the threat of the novel coronavirus, and that appears to have affected how seriously some Americans, particularly Republicans, are taking the threat of the highly contagious virus.

Just 40% of Republicans now say it is a real threat, down from 72% in February. A majority of Republicans (54%) said they think it has been blown out of proportion, more than double what it was in February (23%).

But it's not just Republicans. Half of independents see it as a real threat, down from two-thirds in February. Democrats, on the other hand, have gone the opposite direction — 70% in February said it was a real threat, and now it's 76%.
So there is a strong partisan split, with Democrats being much more willing to believe that the virus is a threat than Republicans.

That's not what i asked. As i predicted.
But, you were the one that brought up golf trips. Nonone asked Obama or Trump to promise not to golf.
One did.
And pretty much immediately broke that promise.
Why no outrage?
Obama deported tons of illegals and got a peace prize for continuing a war, despite the fact he was known as an anti-war and pro-immigrant guy in his speeches. Media still never treated him like dirt, though.
uh huh. Why no outrage on the golf trips, Halfie?
Trump's treatment is unheard of in the modern age. That's why TDS was born as a phrase.
Suuuuure, tgast's what the term means, Trump being crucified in the press. Why bring up golf trips if you won't defend golf trips?

Your guy quite clearly lied about how hard he was going to be working, why give him a pass?
No President in history has been attacked more than Donald Trump.
Cite?
Despite this, he's always selling our country. "Our country is the greatest. Come to our country. U.S. is #1" etc. etc. etc.
It's cslled a dogwhistle, buddy. He says the right words, he can fuck you in the ass and you'll remember, and point to, the words, not the anal stretching.

Keith, if you want to know which candidates are anti-establishment, just look at who the media despises and hates. Example, they loved Obama and hate Trump. Why? Obama was pro establishment, Trump is not.

As much as I hate Bernie Sanders, he is anti-establishment as well. Media hates him.

The virus is certainly a threat. But it is not a threat on the level of, "OMG! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!" like the media wants you to believe. Yes, a lot of people will die and it's tragic, but it will eventually get back to normal.

It's kind of like what my friend said who works at 711. He said that we know with 100% certainty that the store will be robbed and a clerk will get shot overnight. But, do all the stores close to prevent this? No, they still stay open despite the risk.

You need to stop driving around wearing a seat belt then. You're going to die anyways. Common fucking sense is something you only hear about third hand, isn't it?

No President in history has been attacked more than Donald Trump.

One. No other president deserves to be attacked more than Donald Trump. I'm trying to think of a President who has shat on gold star families, told elected officials to "go back to where they came from", used campaign finances to hush a porn star, abuse the office of President to give their kids jobs they are hugely unqualified for, abuse their position to blackmail a foreign country to get dirt on a political opponent, call the free press "enemies of the people", get openly laughed at by world leaders in a UN summit whilst taking a massive shit on the emoluments clause whilst calling nazis "very fine people". Anyone who is that much of a cunt deserves criticism and I'm damn certain I've left out a fair amount of stuff he has done that deserves condemnation. That's right, I forgot about the charity he used to further himself or leaning on the Attorney General to get a lighter sentence for a friend of his. I'm sure other people can add to the list.

Two. Bull. Fucking. Shit. Are you under five years old? No President has been attacked more than Trump? Get the fuck out of here. You don't remember your golden boy Hannity complaining how Obama uses mustard on his hamburgers? You forgot the whole birther movement? Or that Obama was a secret moozlum? Or that he is gay? Or how cementing relations with America's traditional allies was "an apology tour"? Saluting a marine whilst holding a coffee cup? If you think Obama wasn't attacked more than Trump you are either dishonest, ignorant or both. I know where I would put my money. The only difference is the "attacks" (which are only people holding Trump accountable for his actions) on Trump are warranted. The right's throbbing boner on Obama was on some extremely weak shit.

But it's a MUCH worse threat than illegal immigrants or Islamist terrorists, a MUCH MUCH MUCH worse threat, and I know what you think about illegal immigrants and Islamist terrorists, Half-Life.

I marvel at the complacency that I see about the disease from the Right. The right wing normally prides itself on how attuned to danger it is, but here is a big danger, and many right-wingers seem happy with it.
