The nomination of Hegseth is so bizarrely absurd and comical that I literally think Trump is like a six year-old who's discovered his noxious farts attract much comment, and therefore lays them in public whenever he can!
I've no doubt that Trump will be giving away top secrets to Putin and his other buddies. He could get many millions or even billions for these secrets, but instead pimps his family out to sell fake jewelry and made-in-China bibles for a few million. Truth is stranger than fiction.

Our national security and defense surrounds out IT infrastructure as much as tanks and planes. Add in drones and how they are becoming more common now, and the tit v tat is adapting and changing quickly.

I needed to look it up, because I'm only mildly aware of Cheney's career in the 70s, but while he wasn't exactly Defense experienced, he'd at least been around the block, serving in the US House and two Presidencies, including as White House Deputy Chief of Staff.
Also, he wasn't particularly good.
