Well, I was in the car, driving to the grocery store, and I heard Clinton's Campaign slogan ...

Making America Whole Again.

How do I find fault with this
Let me count the ways

First, is America broken and HOW?
Second, "whole again?" When was it whole the first time?
Third, Ewwwwww.
Fourth, Ugh, that was painful
Fifth, I need a drink.

I'd think, if you are a presidential candidate, you would have to say it is fractured given the issues you are expected to address. America is supposedly a melting pot, but the narrative we hear these days is divides between people based on race and ethnicity, religion, economic status, sexuality, gender etc. I get the 'melting pot' wasn't necessarily addressing everything I listed, but the nation comes across as one which is rather fractured in many ways. Does it mean anything to "make it whole?" I dunno, but the tenor of the slogan seems appropriate enough.

America has always been fractured and divided. It is part of its charm.

Well, Trump is leading polls and results for Republican nomination. What's not broken about that? QED

I am curious how that message is different than Trump's we will make America strong again?

Sure, but this is about showmanship, and whichever actor gets cast as the PotUS[oA] is supposed to make a show of being able to make it one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all the people we like, and maybe even a few of the people who are kind of so-so.

Well, Bush's 3rd and 4th terms really did cause us to lose a piece of ourselves.

Oh wait, I just remembered some guy from her party has been president these last 8 years.

Let's hope that is not her slogan.

It is negative and depressing.

"Let's make the best of a broken nation." Maybe true, but it doesn't inspire anyone.

Well, we could use more fiber in our diets.

Hillary, sexy as a pair of ortho shoes. :|

How does that compare to "What do we want? everything. Who do want to pay for it? Someone else"

Trump's running for the nomination of the party out of power. They're supposed to act like the last guy broke the country and they are the one to fix it.

I don't know.

But Bernie's message is: "Germany's been doing it for decades."
