Well... it's Trump... again. #47, here we go.

Talking about Alaska; it should be a province of Canada, not a state of USA.
Why? Just to make the map look sort of tidier?
It's pretty obvious at this point that the whole independence experiment has been a disaster. Everything north of the Mexican border should revert to being a British Dominion, and obviously the Ottawa government is best suited to administer it on behalf of His Majesty.

Make it all Canada, eh?

You will need to learn French. And manners.

Haven't been speaking French in Britain for a while. ;)

Regardless, Mexico might also want CA, AZ, NM, NV back. (Texas seceded on its own).

Trump wants to find out if he can really see Russia from Palin's house...

As much as I hated Palin. She never said from her house.
But you can see Russia from this island. Little Diomede.
Yeah, that was a Tina Fey riff off of Palin saying she had foreign policy experience because Russia was near Alaska, which is only mildly less stupid of a thing to say.

Stupid thing Palin actually said said:
They're our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska.

Meanwhile, Trump admin gets AMD and NVidia to pay Government to sell chips in China.
article said:
Nvidia Corp. and Advanced Micro Devices Inc. agreed to pay the US government 15% of revenue from some chip sales to China. The chips — Nvidia’s H20 AI accelerator and AMD’s MI308 chips — were earlier banned by the Trump administration and require export licenses to sell.
Firstly, WTF?!

Secondly, WTF?!
article said:
The chip-payment arrangement may face legal challenges because it could be construed as an export tax, something that’s not allowed under the constitution, trade experts said. The proposal is the latest direct government intervention into business and finance since Trump returned to the Oval Office in January. As well as a chaotic tariff campaign and persistent criticism of a sitting Federal Reserve chairman, Trump has used his Truth Social platform for everything from calling on CEOs to resign to offering commentary on corporate advertising campaigns.
Trump is tariffing US Exports... something he wants more of?

According to the article, the Biden Admin actually banned the sale of these advanced chips to China. But now Trump is allowing it, with an export tariff which makes little sense in a couple of ways.

Typical Trump. Sees a law that says "You may not export these to our enemies because they could threaten our national security", and decides it should say "You may not export these to our enemies unless I get a cut".

He sees exactly no moral difference between the two; The former is stupid, because it doesn't make him richer.

Eh, English is more or less a French creole.
C'est ça.

English is abslutely riddled with French words, like cul-de-sac, entrepreneur, camping, weekend...

;)
Pretty sure <<nous allons faire du camping ce weekend avec ces hotdogs>> is our fault. Infectious, the American way. We've done a number on the British language as well, I hear.

The Brits speak American?? I knew it sounded familiar.

Head Piece-o-shit and piece-o-shit Marco have released this year's human rights report from the State Department.

The report removes stand-alone sections on women's rights, LGBTQ rights, and discrimination on racial or ethnic lines.

Of course the thing has been politically edited to help Trump's authoritarian friends. As an example, on El Salvador, last year's report said that:

"Significant human rights issues included credible reports of unlawful or arbitrary killings and forced disappearance, torture or cruel and human or degrading treatment or punishment by security forces, harsh and life-threatening prison conditions, arbitrary arrest and detention."

Now it says about El Salvador "There were no credible reports of significant human rights abuses"

I thought English was a bastard language which went through a huge transition during that period when the British Aristocracy were speaking French. We dropped all that gender stuff for non-anthropomorphic noun that existed. The language was littered with french, dutch, and others terms.
