Academic philosophy is dead. No professor wants to engage with the implications that philosophy has made clear over the past two centuries, namely, the inevitability of communism and Judaism.
Really?I have known Jews. They can be quite friendly, accepting, and gregarious.
No kidding, really?Really?I have known Jews. They can be quite friendly, accepting, and gregarious.
I’ve known some [native American, black, Hispanic, female, short people, Puerto Rican, Danish people, Hindus, Jamaican, Inuit, Russian, Japanese, Belgian] people.
They can be quite friendly, accepting, and gregarious.

Thank you for the intelligent, well thought out, and reasoned contribution to the topic.
As to Judaism, why not go trough the formal conversion process to Judaism. Join a synagogue or move to Israel.

I do not want the belief in life after death to return, and in any case it is not likely to return. What I do point out is that its disappearance has left a big hole, and that we ought to take notice of that fact. Reared for thousands of years on the notion that the individual survives, man has got to make a considerable psychological effort to get used to the notion that the individual perishes. He is not likely to salvage civilization unless he can evolve a system of good and evil which is independent of heaven and hell. Marxism, indeed, does supply this, but it has never really been popularized. Most Socialists are content to point out that once Socialism has been established we shall be happier in a material sense, and to assume that all problems lapse when one’s belly is full. The truth is the opposite: when one’s belly is empty, one’s only problem is an empty belly. It is when we have got away from drudgery and exploitation that we shall really start wondering about man’s destiny and the reason for his existence. One cannot have any worthwhile picture of the future unless one realises how much we have lost by the decay of Christianity.--"As I please" / George Orwell. In Tribune, 3 March 1944

How many do you have?
Never before did philosophers and scientists insist that there is no purpose in human existence, and therefore no history, as now. Why? This is the reason. In the past, the future was promising; men looked forward to ever greater progress, and they anticipated a time when mankind will live in peace and enjoy the good of life. The future appeared bright and glorious. But now the future reveals itself to become universal communism. To accept universal communism, one must completely break with the existing social order. No man putting his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of heaven. But the philosophers, the scientists and the historians cannot break with the existing social order; they are organically and indissolubly bound up with the existing social order. Since, however, universal communism stares them in the face; since universal communism is becoming a world power, the philosophers, the scientists and historians shut their eyes, they do not see the future, and declare there is no history. This happened before. So long as the class struggle between labor and capital was yet in abeyance or did not manifest itself in its true nature, so long men of thought honestly endeavored to understand the laws that govern the economic relations of production and distribution. But, when the class struggle revealed itself in its true historic nature, then it was no longer possible for a thinking person to study the economic laws honestly and dispassionately, unless he was intellectually and spiritually great enough to cast his lot with the working class to whom the future belongs. And so, when historians and philosophers tell us that there is no purpose in human existence, and that there is no history, we must not take what they tell us seriously. All that we can tell them is this: If they cannot identify themselves with the future, they will be retired into the past, and mankind will get along very well without them.
As I sad to you before, you are in an intellectual feel good bubble isolated from reality. The progressive fantasy world.I love how when Boomers are trying to prove they aren't racist, their instinct seems to be to just start listing off all the racial stereotypes they know.![]()
He's even friends with Viennese. And we all know who was born in Austria.I love how when Boomers are trying to prove they aren't racist, their instinct seems to be to just start listing off all the racial stereotypes they know.![]()
Gregor Mendel, of course! The connections are all clear now. He's even friends with Viennese. And we all know who was born in Austria.I love how when Boomers are trying to prove they aren't racist, their instinct seems to be to just start listing off all the racial stereotypes they know.![]()

My views on people and culture come from experience starting when I was a kid.
There was racism in my family, in particular two uncles. Fortunately my father was not. His blue collar view was anyone who went out and worked was ok. My sisters bay sat for the black familynext door.
You claim to be an expert in culture, but you know facts without experience.
A black guy in my building was in China during Tiananmen Square with his father in law a college teacher. He calls China the most racist country in the world.
On a recent NPR show on China an intervene with a black African who chose to go to China for school. He thought he would fare better socially than in America. He too saw China as racist.
Of course not all Chinese are racist and parochial, but all cultures have bias and prejudice.
In the 70s I knew a Jewish woman who married a Catholic. I knew her parents and they had no p[rblem. Some in her extedd family treated her as a non perosn.
Italiann cuture in re USA can have pressure to marry withn the group.
I knew a woman about 6 years ago who came here from Peru as a teen. She married a black guy. Her family had no problem. The guy's black family opposed the marriage. Once married his family had n nothing to do with them.
If you were around blacks long enough you would hear some of the same racial slurs you would hear from whites. Antisemitism. Homophobia.
Same with Latinos.
So my woke friend put your views to he test. It is easy to moralize using cliches from hhe comfort of your living room.
You said humans are inherently good. When I asked on what you base that claim your usual non response. On what basis other tan what somebody else says or writes do you claim what I posted was stereotypes? Or are you just mouthing an ideological knee jerk response.
That all cultures are wonderful and not to be criticized is a progressive meme. Except of course the evil, 'white' culture that needs to be reeducated by the woke culture. Like the Chinese Cultural Revolution.
Here is Waton on the subject of the response of establishment scientists, philosophers and historians to the inevitability of universal communism:
Never before did philosophers and scientists insist that there is no purpose in human existence, and therefore no history, as now. Why? This is the reason. In the past, the future was promising; men looked forward to ever greater progress, and they anticipated a time when mankind will live in peace and enjoy the good of life. All that we can tell them is this: If they cannot identify themselves with the future, they will be retired into the past, and mankind will get along very well without them.
It is a similar case with regard to the inevitability of universal Judaism.
