Bring Her Back
Woman who lost her daughter in a drowning incident takes in two orphans. One of the orphans is brought in for Horror purposes.
This is a solid but not great horror flick. The problem with it is hard to define. The writing, acting, direction, cinematography, etc. is all there, but for some reason it just doesn't hit. Maybe it's because of tension isn't built well? Also, the film attempts to be dark and moody, but it's just kind of drab. OTOH, it certainly has some great SFX which made even me recoil, so it does an excellent job in the physical horror department.
Since it's Spooky Season, I'll give it a recommend because overall it's a solid horror flick, and it's better than taking a chance on any of the utter shite that so many horror movies foist on viewers.
6.5/10
And dammit, watch Strange Darlings. I watched it again last night and it's such a good movie.
