Brain structures obviously play an enormous role in how we perceive ourselves, who we are attracted to, etc. Sexual orientation, sexuality, sexual identification have basis in brain structures. Not, as you are so fond of saying: it's just thoughts in your head. It's not. It's neurobiology.

Thoughts are caused by brain-states. So what? You keep saying 'it's neurobiology'. So what? My thoughts don't change my ethnicity, or my sex, or my age.
Your neurobiology likely determines your sexual orientation.

Your neurobiology affects your perceptions of who you are. Including your identity as male.
That your brain structure determines how you act and think is certainly true. Remember poor Phineas Gage. And psychopaths. No doubt that trans identified persons have some structure or neuopathway causing dysphoria After all, there are people whose brains make them dysphoric for certain body parts. There was a women who poured Draino into her eyes because she identified as blind. But a trans identified man isn't a women. Unlike the Draino lady, he can't change his biology.
You mean part of their biology? Again, dangling bits, dangling bits, dangling bits. If the neurology says they are in conflict with their genitals, that would imply that part of them is one gender, part of them is the other gender. You keep crying biology, but want to pretend the part of the body that makes us who we are... is excluded from the conversation... or even mocked. Stupid brain! What does it know?!
Of course it is excluded from the conversation. When a dead body is examined, there is no brain activity at all. Yet the sex of that dead body is very much able to be determined.
Really? Do you think it would be immediately apparent to say, a police officer who stumbled upon the nude, post-surgical corpse of a trans woman that the deceased had been born with, perhaps a penis and testicles?
It depends on what the deceased died of and the condition of the body, presumably. But an inverted and mutilated penis is not a vagina, and a coroner will certainly and unambiguously know it. A neophallus is also not a phallus, because rolled up forearm skin is not a penis and can never be one.

Trans ideologists want anthropologists to stop identifying the sex of the human remains they find--because the anthropologists cannot know what gender identity that person was. You could not make it up.

I don't need to know that I produce motile gametes. I am of the sex that is organised around producing motile gametes.
Strange then that your brain tells you not to use them them for what they are designed to do.

Strange that I did not feel the need to tell that to my married friend who got a vasectomy.

Also, small motile gametes were not designed; they evolved.

Also, nothing I can do can do, say, or think change the sex of my body.

EDIT: Hands were not "designed" to hold pens. Strange to use them for something they were not "designed" to do!

No, it wasn't 'known.' It was assumed, based upon whatever testing your mother allowed to be performed. Once you were born, your apparent sex was in agreement with whatever testing was previously performed and there was no need to conduct further examination.

But unless you have had testing to demonstrate that you actually produce motile sperm, you don't KNOW that you do.
I don't need to know that I produce motile gametes. I am of the sex that is organised around producing motile gametes.

Unless you have had genetic testing done, you do not KNOW that you have XY chromosomes and not some other configuration.
Whether I had some difference of sexual development would not change the fact that I am of the sex organised around producing small motile gametes.

What you believe to be true about yourself likely comports with observable traits and would likely also agree with any genetic testing you had performed or if you submitted a sample of ejaculate. But you don't KNOW as a fact that this is so. You ASSUME that it is so. Your feelings about your sex and about your sexual orientation are in agreement with your apparent sex. But you do not KNOW as a fact what your karotype is or whether or not you produce sperm or if that sperm is motile.
Irrelevant whether I as an individual produce sperm. I am of the sex organised around producing small mobile gametes.
I understand that you ASSUME you are of the sex organized around producing small mobile gametes. You have no proof. You just have your feelings.

Of course, those are not the questions I asked. I asked if it would be immediately apparent to a police officer who stumbled upon the nude, post surgical corpse of a trans person, perhaps born with a penis and testicles. A coroner or medical examiner could determine a great deal more than a cursory examination by a police officer. But I wasn't asking about a medical examiner. I was asking about a police officer.

I thought you were against people getting surgery that mutilates their genitals.

Also, small motile gametes were not designed; they evolved.

Also, nothing I can do can do, say, or think change the sex of my body.
Yet you reject using your body the way it was designed for use.

Pens were designed for use in hands, not the other way around.

If the cop had never seen a naked woman before and was sight impaired; sure.

Sure Jan.

Years ago, my sibling posed the question: Why do people so vehemently object to children seeing sexual situations on a screen but do not object to the same children witnessing violence on a screen?

My answer at the time was: People are less afraid that children will imitate the violence than the sex.

I'm not sure that my answer would really stand up to much scrutiny.
For young kids I think imitation is an issue--they're more able to imitate the sex than the violence so it's more of an issue. Generally, though, pre-puberty kids find sex yucky and aren't interested. Without our hormones driving us it does seem like a rather yucky act.

What difference does it make what genitals someone has?

Under typical conditions you'll never know. Even under conditions where one might know/suspect (say, the local backcountry hot spring--unofficially clothing optional and few people wear more than skimpy bathing suits) why should I care?

I don't need to know that I produce motile gametes. I am of the sex that is organised around producing motile gametes.

Nope. Just showing Metaphor's double standard.
ZiprHead does not understand what a double standard is.
Sure, Jan.

Yeah, he does.

It helps that you provide such clear examples.

No, he doesn't, and apparently neither do you.

I do not make the demand you look at me and call me heterosexual.

You don't need to call me anything at all. I do not demand pronouns, or titles, or access to single-sex spaces for which I do not qualify.

I didn't bring up genitals; Toni and others did. They are obsessed with bringing up genitals, as if genitals determined sex. They don't.

Under typical conditions you'll never know. Even under conditions where one might know/suspect (say, the local backcountry hot spring--unofficially clothing optional and few people wear more than skimpy bathing suits) why should I care?
If it's a mixed sex facility, then you should expect to see all kinds of genitals. But in a single sex space, you should expect only a single sex.
Genitals are the primary and correct I dust or if sex in most cases. That what doctors rely on when a baby is born.

What do you think should be used?

And yet Oleg, there are women who commit exponentially more crimes than, say, Politesse.

It's almost as if you cannot actually determine anything about a person by looking at those you arbitrarily lump them in with.

When will you learn that stereotypes do not inform on individuals?
The new left's abhorrence of Nature continues to amaze.
I said nothing abhoring "nature".

My post is a critique of your dubious skills at applied statistics.

You are talking about what are known as "comorbid traits", traits which tend towards happening together. The issue is that this correlation is imperfect for such traits, as biology is imperfect and messy.

As a result, you can't actually make the distinction in any honest way that, owing to some facial structure, someone carries some brain structure. You can't even tell someone has downs syndrome perfectly from their facial structure!

But you, Oleg, seem to believe that you can tell someone has... What? Crime brain? From their facial structure?

This is some straight up Phrenology level bullshit. Maybe look in a mirror?
