Why the Constitution is now null and void

Funny... I thought that was made up because I read it as The Daily Mail was saying he evicted her over his obsession with DEI policies.

I'm kind of startled by how few Americans seem to actually know what USAID does, what the CIA is responsible for, what the Department of Education does, etc as revealed by these recent conversations. I guess that makes me an "ivory tower academic" but how can people have so little curiosity about how their own government works? We are (or were) a democracy, there aren't many well kept secrets at the federal level. If you're ever in DC you can just walk into most of those buildings and get a little tour... It's just a few hundred thousand employees across a few dozen departments that handle much of the bureaucratic infrastructure of the country, and our taxes pay all their salaries. I get having positive or negative views on this or that department and how it functions but how could someone have no opinion at all? Do y'all live in this country or not?

To me it is more about how someone can pivot from no opinion at all to fire and brimstone on a dime.

No democrats voted against the nomination of Marco Rubio as Secretary of State. Because, even if they disagree with his policy positions, and many do, they saw him as a serious candidate.

So the idea RVonse has that democrats will simply stonewall a seriously executed investigation of government corruption is demonstrably false. The problem is that the Republicans, “as a whole”, have not demonstrated any serious intent to govern as the Constitution dictates.

He would prefer a singular executive dictatorship because it would result in results that he personally prefers.

You are joking right? Just one department of the federal government alone, the IRS is so huge and vast not even the most educated certified lawyer accountant can possibly know and stay up to date on all of the countless tax code there is. And there are other departments even more vast such as the department of defense. The department of defense is orders of magnitude bigger than the largest US corporations. Look at the 574 page budget just provided in this thread for foreign affairs everyone is so proud to be paying for. Money that Americans had to earn that is freely given away to the rest of the world.

The federal government is big. Way too big IMO.

There was once a time not so long ago that both parties actually wanted our country and US treasury to survive. That ended when Reagan started spending like a drunken sailor and even to his own surprise suffered no blow back from the voters for running up unbelievable (at the time deficits).

The voters have already reached the point in our nations life cycle where they are willing to vote spending to the nations failure. Mob democracy and then the next usual step is a dictator to fix problems that the mob caused.

But “fix” is a subjective term. And if done by a dictator need not be in the interest of the people. Could be solely in the interest of the dictator or the oligarchs who funded him.

What a petty shitbag

I think that when anyone is a petty shitbag, they should just be called a Trump. Make "Trump" a word used synonymous with petty shitbag. Maybe Websters will add it to the dictionary.
It already means “fart” to the Brits. But I agree with the slightly more nuanced implications of “petty shitbag”.
If human civilization survives another 50 years it would be surprising if "trump" did not become a noun, a verb, an adjective and an adverb in common use worldwide, referring to acts, things or people, that are greedy, stupid, evil, tragicomical and more.
I think he has achieved the immortality he covets.
(So go ahead and die, you lamentable fucktard!)

So now your argument is you are too lazy to defend not knowing? You live in a country that requires these provisions be made public. You have the right to see it... to scrutinize it... and you are saying TLDR; MORE FREEDOM!!!

So instead of reading and becoming actually knowledgeable on USAID with the PDF which is thorough, going through where, what, why for EACH of the funding mechanisms, you have shifted to complaining that charity is a waste and America needs the money. America is the benefactor of almost all of America's spending... and you are complaining about $43 billion of a greater than $4 trillion budget?

You watch too much TV!

Yes, the tax code itself is famously convoluted, but the basic purpose and role of the IRS is not too complicated for the average adult person to understand. You pay tax whether you understand taxation or not, so why not invest a few minutes of reading time into how it is assessed, collected, and recuperated?

Nobody knows everything about anything. But some people know much more about some things than most people know. They are called experts. Even mundane jobs in government require expertise of one sort or another. But the president and the first lady have sold you a line of ignorance-based rhetoric as an excuse to ruin the lives of thousands (more) Americans and pocket (more) billions.
And there are other departments even more vast such as the department of defense. The department of defense is orders of magnitude bigger than the largest US corporations.
Now THERE's an opportunity!
Offer the entire military a chance to retire with a YUUUGE retirement bonus. Then let President Trump appoint some COMPETENT personnel to those jobs. Hey - he can surely spend the 800 billion$ defense budget more effectively than the hapless Defense Department, since he is a successful businessman. All those tools, weaponry, etc - let's let Leon take a look at is all and see how much we can get rid of! When was the last time ANY of them had to DEFEND us? Only from The Illegals, who Nancy and Kamala invited in, and the libs complain about ME fixing that!

I'd bet on President Trump to become the World's first Trillionaire by his third term. Legit this time.

Did YOU "look at the 574 page budget just provided in this thread for foreign affairs"?

I do not believe you would know how to differentiate "waste" from something with a profoundly important purpose (e.g. USAID).
If you did have any expertise in the field and were not just blowing smoke up people's ass, you could cite chapter and verse and kindly explain why something is or is not "waste". This administration's approach presumes everything to be waste unless it's stuffing their pockets or those of their donors. There is no oversight of these goons.
They have utterly corrupted the justice system, and are confidently proceeding with bulldozing everything they can, knowing that there is no culpability - looting the treasury is an "official act", so giving the government's biggest contractor the keys to the vault is perfectly legal.
And simply just stupid, unless you're hopelessly corrupt and you can only count on the corruption of others as long they can count on getting back the quarter billion they lent you to get elected.
There are/were honest people with actual expertise in responsible positions. If required, they can actually READ 574 pages in a day or two - a feat that would take the Apricot halfway through his term. That makes them a threat. So fire them.

USAid did provide some funding to independent media in Ukraine. There is also a charity fund based in Europe that provides funds for media in Ukraine.
90% is not "some" it is pretty much 100%, considering that remaining 10% are probably indirect funding from the same source.
Prove the 90%

Okay, but accept multiple meanings. My dog Bogie takes a trump in the basement every time I forget to walk him.

So when I'm hiking in the woods and come upon one of those plastic bags on the ground waiting for the doggie poop fairies to take away, I need a sharpie to label it a "Trump bag!" I like it!

It is pretty telling that the stuff RVonse thinks is evil and what Musk calls radical left stuff USAID was doing was things like anti-corruption advocacy, good governance, pro-democracy, election monitoring, etc. in other countries. You know, the things that make us more safe when other countries adopt these things. People like George Soros were also involved in this kind of work.

It is not liberal democracies we are in conflict with, at least not until MAGA came along, but authoritarian hell holes.

But now MAGA suddenly loves the authoritarian hell holes and hates the spread of democracy so of course any agency or person that opposes the former and engages in the latter is evil.

This is exactly the same Russian propaganda talking point spread by barbos.
