That argument didn't work when I was 5 years old and hit my sister in retaliation, a situation obviously with much less at stake compared with now. Putin looks for excuses for his aggression and avarice. For one thing, it distracts from the fact that he's a poor leader, in power only by fiat and force. Russia had a revolution where they overthrew a government that did not serve the interests of the people but only themselves. It could happen again. Maybe Putin will walk too near a window and trip and fall. Maybe he will unwisely taste some soup. Or maybe there will be an armed revolution. Has happened before. Could happen again. 2) It's not correct, either. We weren't doing anything, you set up a puppet government then came to it's aid. It was only after that that we started arming the rebels and only with fairly light weapons, yet that was enough to kick your ass back to Moscow.
