Oh yes, right wing politics are so GREAT for the economy.
Oh yes, right wing politics are so GREAT for the economy.
Maybe the people that voted for him?Oh yes, right wing politics are so GREAT for the economy.
?? And who is saying that? TACO Trump's policies are probably putting the country into a recession right now.
As long as the libs are impacted by the recession too then it’s probably worth it to them, no?Maybe the people that voted for him?Oh yes, right wing politics are so GREAT for the economy.

You are the "moderate", and the fact is, this is you saying those policies do not appeal to you.but won't appeal to the moderates in the swing states
But not you. They want more rights for trans people
"DEI", no, just acceptance of hiring whoever is actually qualified rather than sticking with a narrow candidate pool. Which implies you think "DEI" is more than that, or that you don't want that and want to call it DEI.acceptance of DEI
No, we want to tax them because taxes are important for stabilizing the economy and ensuring that people are not taken advantage of by the ones who ARE mean.punish corporations because they are mean
More, reduce reliance on fossil fuels, *because they kill us and are wrecking the fucking planet*.end fossil fuels

It's almost like progressives are less focused on "justice" and more focused on stopping doing the things that are going to fucking kill us before they fucking kill us and destabilize our society entirely.
If it's "moderates" that don't want that, we might as well call them what they really are: doomer Republicans in blue
Anyone who voted for Trump because Harris is "too extreme".Oh yes, right wing politics are so GREAT for the economy.

How about the people who stayed home or voted 3rd party because Harris was not extreme enough?Anyone who voted for Trump because Harris is "too extreme".Oh yes, right wing politics are so GREAT for the economy.

I believe that both Hillary and Kamala lost because they were not sufficiently extremist to bring out the Democratic voters.
MAGAts came out in droves because our political system is now dominated by extremists and they put Trump into the White House twice now.

Maybe actually reply in a way that doesn't dodge the actual questions I posed.Well, you took my words out of context. But yes, I am a moderate.
I didn't dodge your question. You just didn't carefully read my post.Maybe actually reply in a way that doesn't dodge the actual questions I posed.Well, you took my words out of context. But yes, I am a moderate.
Do you not believe trans people deserve rights?
Do you not believe that biased hiring practices need to be addressed?
Do you not want taxes imposed on corporations to guarantee economic stability and mobility?
Do you not want to regulate the things destroying the planet and dooming us?
If you don't want those things, just be a fucking Republican already.
The people she lost, the people she needed, she lost because of actions during her campaign, not about policy positions per se.Who is "they" in that post? They probably did not think that Kamala Harris was too far left. How about the people who stayed home or voted 3rd party because Harris was not extreme enough?Anyone who voted for Trump because Harris is "too extreme".Oh yes, right wing politics are so GREAT for the economy.

I think that she lost due to base not coming out and the swing state biden voters switching to Trump. If she had gone more left, perhaps the left would have turned out greater turnout. We'll never know. And she might have won the popular vote. But how many of those voters are in the midwest? If the dems want to return to power, we need to recapture the moderates who switched their vote to Trump. We can't win without capturing at least a couple of the swing states.
I do not personally see the defense of our Constitutional rights as extremist, but if indeed both of those candidates lost because their voters did not swing "left enough", then to also say as Harry did that they lost because they were "too far left" is irrational.I believe that both Hillary and Kamala lost because they were not sufficiently extremist to bring out the Democratic voters.
On this, we agree. The responsibility for our country's descent into fascism primarily falls on the shoulders of those who welcomed it with open arms, not on those who have disagreements as to how to combat it. One third of voters are openly honorless, traitorous curs, and it is neither the progressive nor the neoliberal corporatist nor the blue dog Democrat who truly has to answer why they voted for Trump.MAGAts came out in droves because our political system is now dominated by extremists and they put Trump into the White House twice now.

Or just enough to know that I must be wrong?
I'll repeat my question:
Who is they in that question?
Not that I expect you to respond honestly, I'm just asking.
Tom
If they switched their votes to Trump, then they were never moderates in the first place. Moderates don't vote for extremists, even if unsatisfied with "their own" candidate. We saw this in recent federal election in Australia, where "moderates" turned away from the Liberals, because their leader Peter Dutton was Trump-lite.Who is "they" in that post? They probably did not think that Kamala Harris was too far left. How about the people who stayed home or voted 3rd party because Harris was not extreme enough?Anyone who voted for Trump because Harris is "too extreme".Oh yes, right wing politics are so GREAT for the economy.
