More celebrities passing

Sad to see she passed but I always preferred Jan Smithers.
Same here. Bailey Quarters was the quintessential girl-next-door that guys want.
Yup, the second Ginger vs. Mary Ann debate.

I can't think of any others. Anyone else think of more?
Let's not leave our gay brothers hanging. Professor or Gilligan?
Well definitely not Skipper. What with his "little buddy".

Ha! No contest on Gilligan. The Professor was very attractive to the ladies, not so much to the gents. But before Gilligan, Bob Denver played the Ginger to Dobie's Mary Ann on on The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis.

^^ She actually thinks she has a chance with Dobie, when his hot beatnik "best friend" is standing right there!

OH MY GAWD. I never knew that Gilligan was in Dobie. I mean it has been decades since I saw any episodes (of either), but man... should have connected that.

Sheila Kuehl was an actress on Dobie Gillis, and also a California State Senator later in life. I guess she figured if Gopher from The Love Boat can go into politics, then so can I! :)

He also appeared in the movie Apollo 13, (in which his role was played by Tom Hanks); Lovell has a cameo as the Captain of the the USS Iwo Jima (Capt. Leland Kirkemo) which recovered the Odyssey after it splashed down in the Pacific.

Excellent actor, very diverse body of work.

I didn't know that was Stamp as General Zod in the movie. I've actually never seen that movie. I was watching very little TV in the 80s.

Several decades ago I watched Billy Budd, and thought the actor who played Billy Budd was brilliant. That was Terrence Stamp, and he truly is one of the greatest actors.
