What TV are you watching and how would you rate it? [Revive from FRDB]

I like the OLEDs too.

It was January 2021 thought that I had* to stay at my parents vacant house and I brought my usual DVDs. A lot of Harry Potters especially. It was then that it became so obvious that while todays flat screen TV have great pictures, the speakers suck. I was watching on my parent's late generation Sony tube TV and the speakers were so much better. I was hearing stuff I never heard on my flat screens.

Since then I don't listen with the TV's speakers. Now in my basement room I have some powered psb speakers with a subwoofer attached to the LG C2 OLED via optical. Upstairs is a soundbar and sub.

* I had been visiting my mom in assisted living and next day I got a call that she had covid and I'd been with her for hours. So I packed and left with Walle and spent a week at the old house until I could get a test. My N95 protected me.

I guess I can recommend it for film history buffs. Surprisingly good for its era?

Special effects sometimes impress, sometimes fail, and sometimes make you say, "Look, a special effect."

One major character has no motive, no basis for the way he or she behaves. She gives a false motive, but after it is exposed as false, we never get a real motive. One could call that realistic, I suppose, since we don't get to know why people do things in real life.

I liked it overall. However, it is a very slow burn though and they make a few choices in the plot that were unnecessarily convoluted to full-on unnecessary and stupid.
 
Since Southpark has been doing a great job of satirizing Trump and his ass lickers, we've been watching each new episode and enjoying each one a lot. This last one was that Trump was fucking Satan. Each one has been very funny and in the world in which we live in, we all need a good laugh.
 
Rewatching the old Beast Wars animated series from 1996. Loved this series when I was a kid and ReBoot. Have to rewatch ReBoot after.
