As far as I could determine, she was never blocking the road. Unless you count after she was murdered and her car moved into another vehicle.

An early narrative on the part of Trump/minions was that ICE was just trying to get vehicles out of snow but that is obviously false as the streets had been plowed, as was obvious in any and all videos of the incident. City residential streets are typically fairly narrow. In winter in areas that see a lot of snowfall, such as Minnesota, streets can become more narrow due to snowfall and plows pushing snow to the sides of the streets.

Perpendicular to the stream of traffic is good enough to be considered "blocking" traffic. Cars could only pass in one direction. She wasn't barricading the roadway, there was no indication she was impeding traffic intentionally. But I don't know why her car was in the position it was or for how long. She could have been making a three point turn for all I know.

I responded to something Toni said. If I block a lane of traffic to do work, I typically need permission from the city to do it. It isn't a right to just go out and block traffic. When people go out and block traffic in a protest, that is an act of civil disobedience.

Blocking the road isn't a capital crime or even within the scope of what the E in ICE is supposed to be managing.

And at the same time DoJ says that there is no need to investigate whether the killing of Good was justified.

The Justice Department does not believe there is evidence to back a criminal investigation into the actions of an ICE agent who fatally shot a woman in Minneapolis last week, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a statement.


“There is currently no basis for a criminal civil rights investigation,” Blanche said in a statement.

County DA says the decision not to investigate the shooting is rediculous.

“The idea that there wouldn’t be a complete and full investigation when a person loses their life at the hands of law enforcement is ridiculous,” Moriarty said.

She noted that there would no doubt be a probe if local law enforcement shot and killed someone. The fatal ICE-involved shooting occurred in Hennepin County.


Moriarty reiterated that state officials initially had an agreement with the FBI to do a joint investigation, but then were “abruptly told that could not occur.”

Because of that, Moriarty believes “there will never be any transparency in terms of what the entire investigation revealed.”
