What TV are you watching and how would you rate it? [Revive from FRDB]

Mandalorian Season One - It isn't bad... but it isn't that good. It is The Incredible Hulk (TV show) in space mixed in a blender with 1950s superhero serials. It is far from compelling.
Remarkably though it’s one of the very best Star Wars offerings by Disney. That and Andor; the rest are hot garbage.
Well, that is unfortunate. Not surprising, but unfortunate. I'm struggling with wanting to watch Mandalorian any more than I have. Andor had continuity issues, but it had characters and plots that, while a bit convoluted at points, helped develop a story arc for the film that felt entirely without a soul despite being an otherwise decent film. Mandalorian is just tropes, cliches, and overly simple writing with no growth. If Andor is DS9, Mandalorian is Voyager.
Well, finished Season Two of Mandalorian and it managed to disappoint on just about every level possible.

Star Wars trope or not... why in the bleeding hell do stormtroopers wear the outfit that provides zero protection from any weapon whatsoever? They could use fly swatters to defeat them. Stormtroopers are so useless, it begs the question, how in the heck did the Empire ever win using them? The season finale was just utterly awful, like it was written by an 8 year old. I literally thought of Spaceballs when the big bad said he could take the thing back. "What's with you man?!"

Not sitting through Season Three.

If you didn’t like season two you definitely wouldn’t enjoy season three. I couldn’t even finish it.

Something Very Bad is Going to Happen

It's an excellent series about a woman who is about to marry a seemingly normal and guy. The wedding is going to happen at his family's winter vacation home, but something is seriously amiss. I don't want to provide any spoilers though.

It's well acted and made believable, the latter of which is a serious accomplishment given the nature of most horror films and series. It's well acted, well written, and well shot.

See it.
