How should west respond to Russian invasion of Ukraine?

Russia continues to lose over a thousand troops per day in Ukraine.
That's a lie. I know, for a fact, why it's a lie.
I went to a local cemetery and counted all the soldiers graves (They are easily identifiable). And then extrapolate to the rest of the country. And my number is consistent with western supported agency called Mediazona. Russian dead count is ~250K soldiers. Some other agency used Mediazona methodology for Ukraine and they came out with ~1mil.

And this is actually very interesting, I noticed it early on. Ukrainian regime has a habit of simply counting their losses and then reporting as russian losses. So what they actually say is that their losses are ~1000 a day.
And you content with ~250k dead Russians that died on foreign soil for the delusions of a mad, wicked man?
Ukraine is not foreign land for us.
Thank you for finally acknowledging the invasion of Ukraine for what it is.
Yes, we are liberating russian land from nazy occupation by the West.

Russian propganda machine has been able to convince an entire population that it's invasion is morally justified; that they are fighting mostly nato troops;
Russsian propaganda has very little to do with it and actually quite terrible.
It's actually actions of western governments and media who convinced the russians that you are utter scum.
Let me illustrate. I remember reading news around 2010-2012 (16 years ago) and there was an interview with Georgian politician (Nino Burjanadze) who was right hand of Saakashvili, she later went into opposition to that madman. Anyway, she was describing how americans were behaving around Rose Revolution (2003, 23 years ago when Putin was fresh president of Russia). She described it as following:
Americans (State Department) would come with bags of money and ask for people who hate Russia and hand them these bags of money for political activities. And before you go start demanding links and evidence I don't give a flying fuck what you want or believe. I am explaining how I and 150 millions of russians formed their opinion on the actions of the West.
You are utter scum.
<crickets>
predictably so.

Cheap GPS revievers are burning Russian refineries, so it's plain to see the air defense is inadequate for the task.
Stop worrying about russian refineries, and start worrying about Kiev which does not have any air defense left at all.

And once again, russian air-defence is more than adequate.

Why should we listen to your Russian mouthpieces?

He lives in Moscow and has an internet talk show. If he was going to say something anti Russia or anti Putin he wouldn't be allowed on the air. He's useless propaganda, the same as you.

I think that Russia's illegal Ukraine invasion has finally started to sputter, stall, and is possibly being reversed. I see one of three options coming for Putin: 1) engage in meaningful peace negotiations that are beneficial to both sides; 2) attack Nato to distract pissed off Russian crowd; 3) open up second Russian invasion from Belarus.

Why not all three?
We already see that Pootey is as much of a joke as is The Felon. Why would anyone expect any sensible decisions from him?

I'm not worried about Russian refineries. I don't buy gasoline in Russia, so it's not an issue for me.

As for Kiev, If Russian thinks killing old people and children helps their war effort, it's no surprise. Russian strategic thinking has always valued killing people over winning wars. If you happen to be talking to a Russian general, you might mention that the war is actually in the Donbas and Crimea. That's where a thousand Russians die every week and Ukraine just waits for them to either surrender or die of thirst.

Keep up the good work, for as long as it lasts.

I caught the tail end of an interview on NPR, Some professor specializing in Russian affairs from one of the ivy league universities. Can't find it at their website. I thought it was on All Things Considered.
Anyways, he claims Russian media and some oligarchs are publicly painting a picture of Russia ending this war by claiming victory now. That they fought the whole of NATO (sound familiar) and withstood the severest of sanctions the west could throw at them and still managed to liberate 20% of Ukraine since February 2022. And that is a Russian victory! And with this, the Kremlin can commission a statue of Vladimir the Great bare-chested on horseback and forget the 1.5 million Russian casualties.

Oh course, Ukraine might not be on board with all this and with the backing of the EU, may be in a position to tell Trump so. Ukraine is holding a pretty good hand right now.

My bold is Barbos' narrative going forward.

It's only a Russian victory if Putin survives the end of the war. If not, everything will be blamed on Madman Vlad and the people who carried Putin on their shoulders for the last couple decades will be sitting in western corporate board rooms talking about the excellent investment opportunities in rebuilding Russia's infrastructure. It will be a hard sell because everyone knows the real money is to be made providing Chinese construction workers. This will lead to a short lived, but significant baby boom in Russia which will be known a Gen Jinping.
