The Iranian toll has some justification due to the Strait being along Iran's coast and Iran having a legitimate security and environmental concern about ship traffic there. The American toll has no justification other than Might Makes Right.

The Iranian toll made no sense. The original shipping channel did not go through Iranian waters at all. They mined the shipping channel and started charging tolls for ships going through Iranian waters to avoid the mines.

And you yet again show you know nothing of such matters. If the enemy has bombers in your skies you don't put 50 people together unless you have to. A ship might have 50 or more crew and be sunk by a single bomb. And even without bombers--there were some Russian windbags that thought addressing a bunch of their troops while in HIMARS range was a good idea. In war, you likely don't live long enough to learn from your mistakes.

ha ha ha. That's just an absurd figure. Do you really believe that. The estimates that I hear that a million Russian soldiers are dead. That would mean 30 million Ukrainians? Come on, use some common sense. Neither side has an incentive to say the truth here. But Russian soldiers are crossing land and attacking into fortified Ukrainian defensive positions. There is no doubt that more Russians are dying in these frontal attacks than Ukrainians. The people feeding you the 30:1 ratio are pulling your chain. Quit being so gullible!

Actually, I don't find it insane. At this point the war is mostly Russia trying to infiltrate Ukranian defenses and generally failing. How many bodies are retrieved is likely very different than how many casualties there are. I do not know the numbers, but I find it entirely plausible that Ukraine recovers very few Russian bodies.

I think you have it backwards; More people are killed per bomb now than was the case in the past.

During the Blitz in WWII, the British government estimated that there were about 50 casualties, of whom about a third were killed and the rest injured, per ton of bombs dropped by the Luftwaffe.

That roughly translates to 15 bombs dropped per death.

Your numbers do not make sense. Do you perhaps mean "thousand" rather than "ton"?
