Particularly since a lot of these spoiled brats are under the impression that it's okay, it's a college thing; and because (in some cases) an over exposure to violent porn makes these dunces believe that women actually love to be roughed up, and that no doesn't really mean no.
That isn't cultural? Also, being spoiled can add to a sense of entitlement, but the sense of male entitlement to women is hardly a "spoiled brat" thing.
I don't believe society, culture, or education are the chief issues, though they are most certainly factors. The main problem is testosterone, and the simple, stupid, aggressive nature of a good number of men.
I don't believe this is accurate. To me, it can be a mitigating circumstance (certainly not an excuse or justification) for the individual, in the moment. Testosterone didn't make them put out a call on social media. Testosterone didn't have them spreading rumors. It'll be labeled "boys being boys" and that is the cultural part of it.
So, are we going to start giving women experiencing PMS license to shoot men in the face? How about perimenopausal women? Post menopausal women?
Nope, only men can declare temporary insanity because of Testosterone.
Testosterone comes into play for only a small window of the events that take place that night and into the next day. Testosterone is the hormonal reason they
want to have sex. It isn't the reason they
act on it! Testosterone isn't the reason they gave her more drugs. Testosterone isn't the reason they called out on social media. Testosterone isn't the reason they bragged in the following day(s).
What bothers me most about the investigation... getting drunk and taking drugs somehow appears to mitigate blame for the males for giving her more drugs. What is the timeline of drugs that night? What was the intent for giving her the drugs at all (a necessary thing to establish in a trial). This establishes motive.
