Your Silence is Deafening

Regardless of the NY law, they raped that woman.
Independent of this particular case, this is sadly the attitude of much of the feminist left. You don't care about facts or the law, you just "know" that "they raped that women". Especially when "they" are white.

You "knew" with Crystal Magnum and Duke Lacrosse. You also "knew" with Jackie Coakley and UVA.
There are 2 parts to your blurted bike. One is your visceral straw man about the feminist left. The other is your apparent straw men about me.

Let’s be clear - in this case there are admissions.

Now, do you have anything to observe that is relevant to this thread topic?

Unless I missed it - discussion of the Cornell 7 is not a thread?

Men on this forum, why is there no discussion?
Sex abuse on college campus has been an issue for a very long time This is just one more.

It is now in high schools, gang sexual assault by boys.

It is a the in the work place. It is the militray. A few years sexual abuse in Hollywood came to the front. An open secret in Hollywood and nobody made a public issue of. Actors and actresses choose making money rather than speaking out and risking their work.

If you have a solution I am all ears. Sexual abuse is a common theme in the ultra violent movies. It is in the culture. A part of Internet porn is physical abuse and forced sex on women. It protected under consenting adults and freedom of expression.

Sexual violence against women is endemic in culture. Aound here sexuall assault on lone women happens periodically.

It is a social not a political problem. There is a thread on frat sex abuse issue on social science.

I am out of tochh with younger generations, but it seems to me there is no longer any peer pressure against such acts .

The odds are students knew about the event and did nothing.

I'm sorry I didn't take personal responsibility for this sooner. I feel personally culpable and I'm terribly ashamed of this incident. I admit that I wasn't there, have never been in that location, and find that what I didn't do to be highly reprehensible.

Or something.

“Shop still open?”

If that "Shop" is someone's daughter, the father is going to go postal. Someone else's daughter...

The issue we have here is that this "incident" wasn't a couple bad apples. This is cultural, this is legal. This is much worse than you apparently grasp. This isn't even about rape itself.

At some point, this went from a very small consensual group thing to online advertisement! This wasn't merely about people taking advantage of a drugged out girl for their own personal sexual gratification (raping for pleasure). People posted online to grow the event, so that more people could rape her (others raping her for your personal pleasure). To make matters worse, they then brag about the event, without saying how they used drugs to make it all happen. This was a group of men who apparently have never been taught a modicum of morals... (well.. it wasn't my son) or were given the impression that what happens to the woman isn't relevant.

As the legal process apparently indicated, they were right.

And that should lead to a visceral reaction, not sarcasm. Well, it wasn't my fault. It is the fault of our culture that takes a look at this crime and shrug its shoulders because *insert reason woman is at fault*.

Let's not give these idiots an excuse by saying they were not sufficiently taught about morals, or that they are somehow, some way, oblivious to the concept of consent. A person who takes pleasure in dominating another person, who gets off on causing fear and alarm in another, and who exploits another's autonomy and utterly violates their rights, with zero concern for that person or for consequences, does not behave the way they do because society has let them down, or because a school did, or because their daddy never taught them what it means when a girl says no. They do what they do partly BECAUSE it is perverse, and BECAUSE it is anti-social and harmful and morally wrong. It is exciting to them.

Especially in matters of sexual behavior and appetite, and especially among men, and even more especially among men who feel a sense of power, prestige, and entitlement (like these spoiled dipshit college punks), the perverse has a strong appeal. Particularly since a lot of these spoiled brats are under the impression that it's okay, it's a college thing; and because (in some cases) an over exposure to violent porn makes these dunces believe that women actually love to be roughed up, and that no doesn't really mean no.

(Yes I am aware some women actually do like that kind of thing - but with their CONSENT.)

I don't believe society, culture, or education are the chief issues, though they are most certainly factors. The main problem is testosterone, and the simple, stupid, aggressive nature of a good number of men.

Not all men, certainly. Not even most. But enough to make me awfully glad I didn't have daughters.

Then there are teachers and coaches. Not all victims are female; not all predators are male.

Mostly female victims.
Mostly male predators.
A whole lot more sympathy/far less victim blaming if the victims male and the assailant is female. Sadly enough, there is still some projection if the assailant is an attractive female teacher/coach/advisor.

14 year old girl and 38 year old male teacher? Those underaged women will get you every single time.

Privilege is attached to the penis abd testicles. Rich parents ts help but definitely not required.
Bullshit. Female teachers with teenage boys tend to get far lesser sentences than the other way around. How is privilege not attached to "vagina and ovaries"?
Former Bridgeport teacher who had sexual relationship with student sentenced to no jail time
Former Washington high school teacher avoids jail time after having sex with student, 17, while husband was on hunting trip
Former teacher receives no jail time for sexually abusing student
No Jail for Teacher Caught Having Sex With Student in the Backseat of Her Car
Female teacher gets no jail after having sex with a 15-year-old boy. Your take?

Did any of these non-statistical anecdotal teachers punch the students into submission? Or coerce through drugs while punching?
I have not heard of female persons in authority doing this to those under their control or supervision, but plying with alcohol/drugs/porn is sort of the pedo/rapist handbook. Punching maybe not so much.

Sorry for your loss, CS.

I must say, there is nothing so stupid, so empty-headed, but some entrenched member of IIDB has said it.

I've tried to leave this place, but a morbid curiosity keeps drawing me back. What stupid bit of nonsense will I read today?

Not to mention it has long been my only avenue of social interaction on the Net, and I do like a good many members and value what they write.

Ask the Rapist-on-Chief. He knows more about it than anyone.

That isn't cultural? Also, being spoiled can add to a sense of entitlement, but the sense of male entitlement to women is hardly a "spoiled brat" thing.

I don't believe this is accurate. To me, it can be a mitigating circumstance (certainly not an excuse or justification) for the individual, in the moment. Testosterone didn't make them put out a call on social media. Testosterone didn't have them spreading rumors. It'll be labeled "boys being boys" and that is the cultural part of it.

Sorry I was busy telling off a misogynist on another forum.

So, are we going to start giving women experiencing PMS license to shoot men in the face? How about perimenopausal women? Post menopausal women?

Or just women? Can women be so overwhelmed by sexual desire that they randomly grab some guy ( at least 16 yo) and shive their tongue down his throat and hand down his pants?

Girls will be girls…

Nope, only men can declare temporary insanity because of Testosterone. ;)

Testosterone comes into play for only a small window of the events that take place that night and into the next day. Testosterone is the hormonal reason they want to have sex. It isn't the reason they act on it! Testosterone isn't the reason they gave her more drugs. Testosterone isn't the reason they called out on social media. Testosterone isn't the reason they bragged in the following day(s).

What bothers me most about the investigation... getting drunk and taking drugs somehow appears to mitigate blame for the males for giving her more drugs. What is the timeline of drugs that night? What was the intent for giving her the drugs at all (a necessary thing to establish in a trial). This establishes motive.

My personal big question is where the hell did they get ketamine? Since when is ketamine a campus drug????

I guess I lost track since my kids were in college…

But seriously why on earth would anyone take ketamine first any reason except medical necessity under medical supervision??

Note: That’s the way I feel about all drugs in general although in absolutely understand abusing pain killers. We do not do a good job of relieving chronic pain.

It is apparently a thing. Musk started throwing hissy fits against Trump when he was detox'ing from it to pass a drug test.

I'm the last person to otherwise ask about drug scenes on campus. Students could be sniffing crushed flintstone vitamins (the red ones) for a high for all I know.

Ketamine is a dissociative. It causes really funky effects on the mind's perception of time and narrative and has a number of moderately long-term effects on depression.

Taking a certain amount of it will often cause hallucinations and a perception of timelessness.

Mixing it with other drugs such as MDMA or LSD can cause other sorts of experiences.

The effects are fairly short for the primary duration of the experience, usually around 15-20 minutes, with some tailing shifts of perception afterwards.

It's not really my bag, but some people like it.

Last I knew it sold for something around 150-200 a gram, and a gram will serve about about 2-3 people for about 2-3 doses each.

Mixing it with alcohol can fuck up your liver really bad.

Don't do drugs and all that.
