Though I would nominally agree with the below idea (just like I would be for indexing the minimum wage to inflation), I would certainly not agree at the current tax rate. So like last year's tax cut for the upper 10% wasn't enough, and deficits aren't getting bad enough...

According to The New York Times, this administration is actually considering using executive authority to deliver what amounts to an across-the-board tax cut for the wealthy. To wit, from an article out Monday evening:

So we can index capital gains to inflation, because that's only fair. But we can't index minimum wage to inflation, because that would be too expensive.
