U.S. District Judge Richard Berman heard arguments from prosecutors and Epstein’s attorneys Monday but waited until Thursday to issue his ruling.

Prosecutors argued that Epstein, who has pleaded not guilty, should remain jailed because he’s a danger to the public and a flight risk, pointing to a phony passport listing a Saudi Arabia residence that was found in a safe at his New York home, along with cash and diamonds.

This is getting more and more entertaining by the day. If he had been smarter, he would have become a founder and head guru of a new age sex cult.

Indeed. If he had called it a religion from the outset, he could still be doing business as usual while the matter winds its way through the courts...
 
He's dead, dammit. Conspiracy theories are rampant.
 
Considering that most prison deaths are due to suicide, considering that he already made one attempt to hang himself and considering that the poor little shit head didn't like being in his cell because he had to be near all those other inmates who he thought he was so superior to, so he spent hours with his lawyers when they came to visit just to avoid that terrible cell, I think he probably did commit suicide. I'm glad the mother fucker is dead! He can't hurt anyone again, and there will be numerous civil suits against his estate. Plus think of all the money that was saved by not having to prosecute or jail him any longer.

Regardless of what the investigation discovers, I say good riddance to a horrible man that caused a huge number of young women to suffer.
 
Here's a guy who would have wanted to commit suicide. But he's surrounded by coincidences. For some reason he is not under constant watch. He's also not in a cell by himself: he has a cellmate. It just so happens that the cellmate had already been charged with quadruple murder and "found" Epstein. I don't know what he killed himself with but all those materials are supposed to banned, even shoelaces so you can't hang yourself with them. Additionally, news media is saying the "lapse" in security is unprecedented for the Epstein case. Now, if kept alive, Epstein could have ratted out the most powerful men in the country and government.

Therefore, while I think he probably did this himself, I am open-minded because of the motives, opportunity, and coincidences. Now, if something else comes out, like another dead person, or someone confessing to something, I will probably at that point believe a conspiracy is more likely because of the weight of all these coincidences, plus the new ones. And if nothing comes out over time, I will be less open-minded to the idea of a conspiracy because there will have been opportunity for evidence to come out, but it didn't.
