How should west respond to potential (likely) Russian invasion of Ukraine?

Perhaps you missed the below? Below is the possible "peace solution" proposed by Mad Medvedev:
Perhaps you need to study such concepts as time, cause and effect.
Cause and effect? What do you think the long term effect will be of your country invading and attempting to destroy a neighbor? Stealing their land, kidnapping their children, destroying their infrastructure, torturing their civilians.
Decline of of the Western terrorist regimes?

Terrorist regimes??? I sure hope that you're not trying to hint that the west was behind the 3.22.24 ISIS-k attack in Russia.

So much for the prince of peace. It’s now a holy war.
It was always a wholey war. Russia wanted the whole of Ukraine.
Yep. And I think that they want more.
Not much more, just Poland, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Chechnya, and a few other little trinkets.

Western regimes now realize that they made a mistake by starting a war with Russia and slowly trying to exit.
Even ukrainian government critters are leaving the .... government.
Yes barbos, any time now, the tide will turn and Russia will start actually conquering Ukraine, instead of merely bludgeoning it from afar.

That remains to be seen, but we do know that West approved terrorist attacks on Belgorod.
And the whole thing - 2014 coup and starting illegal war on Russia is and has always being western Idea.
Besides that, Western regimes have plenty of terrorism on their resumes - Syria, Iraq, Yugoslavia, Libya, Vietnam, South America.

Really? How do we know that?

And the whole thing - 2014 coup and starting illegal war on Russia
When did this happen???

Besides that, Western regimes have plenty of terrorism on their resumes - Syria, Iraq, Yugoslavia, Libya, Vietnam, South America.
So two wrongs make a right?

Really? How do we know that?
Because we do.
Bless your heart, Barbos.

When did this happen???
It happened in 2014, obviously. But really much earlier, with war in Georgia and even earlier than that.
Your plan was to split Russia.
Is this plan written down somewhere so we could see it?

So two wrongs make a right?
There is no two wrongs here. You tried the same wrong thing with Russia and it turned badly for you.
:LD:

Meanwhile, Narco-Clown revised his "peace" plan, he excluded Crimea from his list of immediate demands.
I say, it's a start.

Yeah, Pootey can’t hold on to Crimea. But at least for now he has a place to dispose of naval assets.

They just want peace, as Mel Brooks put it:

From "To Be or Not To Be"

U.S. told Russia that Crocus City Hall was possible target of attack

More than two weeks before terrorists staged a bloody attack in the suburbs of Moscow, the U.S. government told Russian officials that Crocus City Hall, a popular concert venue, was a potential target, according to U.S. officials familiar with the matter.

The high degree of specificity conveyed in the warning underscores Washington’s confidence that the Islamic State was preparing an attack that threatened large numbers of civilians, and it directly contradicts Moscow’s claims that the U.S. warnings were too general to help preempt the assault.
