Unfortunately or not, the U.S. cannot afford the useless war. Defense contractors made a pretty penny, but we have our own problems with conservative takeovers domestically. With conservatives trying insurrections and refusing reasonable pandemic policies we are two steps away from being our own failed state. It will take a lot of nation-building at home to stabilize democracy and our capitalist failures.
