It's easy to cherry-pick verses in the koran to make just about any point you want. Your chosen verse says there is no compulsion in religion, mine says slay the idolaters (polytheists) until they establish worship (of Allah). Which is right? Under the principle of abrogation, the verse I cite - a Medinan verse - supercedes the one you cite, an early Meccan verse.And it gives the radicals you talk about the excuse they need to attack and kill unbelievers. Not that I'm saying they're right, but the koran, if it's in any way interested in promoting peace, rather than subjugation, should be a bit more clear about that sort of thing, don't you think?

In fact, you have gone out of your way through your evasiveness to avoid admitting that there are radical Muslims advocating killing and actually killing apostates.

Now the question is have you taken a position in the Muslim community of openly condemning them for doing it or, if not, is it the fear of what they will do to you if you do?

I can understand that atheists could make you angry but, in a free society, civilized people must accept that different people have different ideas. People's beliefs don't kill people - peoples actions kill people.

I also think that radical Muslims that kill apostates merit much stronger condemnation than just just saying they are not true Islam.

That couldn't be true. Every atheist is required to memorize the Atheist Bible and constantly repeat stanzas from it on demand. They are not allowed to participate in the required pilgrimage to the shrine at Richard Dawkins' birth place until they demonstrate their knowledge of this holy text.
