Are people already regretting their choice?

Staying on the topic of regretting choice, while I'm glad I choose to move away from sodas, I question how much better its been that I switched to Gatorade, something I'm trying to get away from now by adding a bit of salt and sugar to the water I drink while riding my bike.
I tried coconut water. It's yucky. Some things just have a taste so far and away from anything else I've ever tasted, that brain just says, hell no.

Omg, they really do hate the gays.

A defense official confirmed that the Navy was making preparations to strip the ship of its name but noted that Navy Secretary John Phelan was ordered to do so by Hegseth. The official also said that the timing of the announcement -- occurring during Pride month -- was intentional.

More gratuitous homophobia.

This is what I add to my water bottle when on my push bike.

They could rename it the Josef Mengele, to honour a great man (by their standards).

That was a misfire. I meant to post this story.

Jebus... everything is fucking "woke" to these dumbasses.

I was at a company thing and a state DOT person was there speaking specifically on roadway design safety, particularly downtown set ups. Oddly enough, LGBTQ never came up... because it is roadway design safety!

USS James Dobson.

Just heard this morning on the news that Latinos are breaking away from the Republicans in droves.
I've read that as well, several days ago, although I don't remember where I read it. I'm sure it's true. It was primarily young men who were sucked in by that fake machismo thing, not realizing that macho man is really a 5 year old brat. Now they are waking up. Hopefully, they will vote in the midterms, especially in Texas. Texas Dems need to get out the vote if they want to change the state back. It was blue when I lived there in the 70s, so it's about time. Urban areas in Texas are huge, so it can happen if people voted.

There are a lot of Congressional districts in Texas that are 56-43 R over D using the 2024 vote. If they proceed with further gerrymandering, the way that works they will need to turn some of these into 53-46 districts. Then if even 4% of the district's voters turn against Trump and the Congressturds who support him, the gerrymandering will backfire and turn that district over to the Ds! Wouldn't that be sweet!!

That happened in Ohio. Census took one seat from GOP, then their redistricting lost another. Their original redistricting map, however, would have been much easier to steal a few seats.

Don’t worry, the Democrats will find some way of preventing that from happening.

Gatorade Zero is good but only if its next to freezing when you take it out of the fridge. It has all the essentials but without the sugar. OTOH, if you bike right after drinking regular Gatorade, then it's probably good for you.

Oh, and Powerade blows if you haven't tried it.

As far as the original topic: nobody regrets who they voted for. There might be the individual here or there, but they're numerically the same as 7-legged ants. Sure, someone says they saw one, and maybe they did, but it doesn't matter.

Democrats just won a special election in Iowa. Democrats have won special elections in a couple of other states. The one is Iowa was a district where Trump won by about 11%, but the Dem just won by about 10%, so I am somewhat optimistic that people are starting to realize that Trump isn't going to do a damn thing for them, unless they are extremely wealthy. And, not all wealthy people are greedy assholes, so there is hope.
People are regretting voting for Trump, but of course it's not easy for some people to admit they were wrong, so they keep quiet about it. Sure, trump still has the hard core members of his fucked up cult but don't give up hope. Encourage people to vote. I do that every time I meet some young person who tells me they've never voted but they can't stand Trump. Voter apathy is one of America's biggest problems especially among Dems. If all the Dems had voted in 2024, we wouldn't be living in this nightmare.

Sure, Trump and his idiots will try to suppress the vote, but we overcame at a lot of horrible things in the past, so let's stop acting like little pathetic hopeless children.

A federal grand jury refused to indict a man who threw a sandwich at a federal officer, and grand jurors refused three times to indict a woman accused of assaulting an FBI agent.

President Donald Trump’s surge of federal law enforcement on the streets of D.C. is meeting resistance in the city’s federal courthouse, where magistrate judges have admonished prosecutors for violating defendants’ rights and court rules, and grand jurors have repeatedly refused to issue indictments.

On Tuesday, a federal grand jury refused to indict a former Justice Department employee who threw a sandwich at a federal law enforcement agent in an incident this month that went viral on social media, according to two people with knowledge of the case who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to discuss it publicly. Prosecutors had sought to charge Sean Charles Dunn with a felony count of assaulting, resisting or impeding a federal officer.

Maybe this belongs in a different thread. Who knows any more?

Well, what if you tried to make it safe for a diverse variety of vehicles?

Good, assault with a deli weapon shouldn't be a federal offense.
