Are people already regretting their choice?

Importers tend to be quite good at biosecurity (even when they are rubbish at most of the rest of governance), because it makes an excellent non-tarriff barrier against foreign suppliers undercutting local businesses.
Tell that to COVID. The problem is not the cattle, the problem is the humans and the criminals.
The problem with COVID is that it's not easy to tell who has it, because viruses are too small to see.
You say countries have good biosecurity, but I do not believe that can really stop a first world country's criminal elements in the way it can stop a third world country's such elements, nor can it really stop the people who own private jets.
Biosecurity is about stopping pests, not criminals.

And countries DO have good biosecurity, because it allows them to get a big advantage in international trade, without attracting the ire of the WTO, and without providing their trading partners with an easy option to retaliate.

Allowing your country to become host to a serious agricultural pest is an absolute gift to your competitors in international trade.

This renewed infestation of the USA is bad for the USA. There's no particular reason to think it presages a wider global problem, because the root cause of it becoming a problem in the USA (Trump being in charge) is not present anywhere else.

If it could have become a problem regardless of Trump, either for the US or for any other nation, it would have done so decades ago.

I really think you underestimate the comic-book proportions of the evils of this administration.

I watch most of jay Leno's garage videos.
Last one posted was him reviewing Joe Biden's '67 Corvette.
I don't know when it was firmed but I assume it was resent.
Joe seemed just fine for his age.
My god I hope I can be that "there" when I am his age!!

I don't know about that. I saw the same video. Joe claimed his Corvette was so fast, it could beat Medicare.

Well, maybe in a straight line. But on curves? I doubt it.

I don't understand why they don't just drain the swamp reflecting pool and start over.
They are wasting time and chemicals, netting clumps of algie. Drained, they could just sweep it and repaint.
