Since everyone thinks both candidates are too old, I'm sure there will soon be a proposed Constitutional amendment to limit the upper age of a President, right?

Like how every time we have an election, the losing side swears to take down the Electoral College?

How much time will Trump get when he is sentenced for his 34 felonies in a few weeks? July 11!

Jes, nothing is going to happen until all the appeals are exhausted. SCOTUS will drag it out till after November. Delay, delay , delay.

As to the question of Presidential immunity, the court has said they'll announce their decision on Monday. At the absolute end of their term. They dragged it out as long as possible, rather than putting it on a fast track. Not exactly encouraging. But then - with regards to the sentencing - it IS the end of their term. Yes, Trump's team will appeal as far as they can in NY, but SCOTUS isn't going to come back to work just to rule on the sentencing, and I don't think the sentence will be put on hold until they can take it up next year.

Now, back to the original topic. The sharks are in the water (and no that's not a reference to Trump's rant about electric boats) over Biden's performance, with the media breathlessly reporting on calls for him to step aside. Which is odd, because at best the "mainstream" media was just barely beginning to latch onto stories of Trump's rambling at rallies, and that IS a reference to the rant about sharks and electric boats. But wait...now he's ranting about electric planes! At a rally in Virginia, he said this:

"These guys, you'll never get them done," he said. "You'll never get them done. They don't have any clue."

"All they know is electric," Trump continued. "They want electric army tanks. They want electric planes."

"What happens if the sun isn't shining while you're up in the air?" he asked. "Well, sir, those, you know, I told you there'd be problems, sir. No, they want electric everything, everything."

A Twitter (Xitter?) user chimed in, saying "Looking forward to the New York Times editorial board weighing in on this significant development."

Yes, Biden's debate performance was a train wreck. He came back bright eyed and bushy tailed the next day at a rally. Trump does this crazy shit every time he gets up on a stage. Goes off on a tangent about sharks and batteries in the water. Electric planes not being able to fly at night. "Black jobs." Confusing Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi. Nobody in the mainstream media or on the right has ever suggested that maybe he's the one that should step down.

Of course, it’s the obvious and sensible thing to do. Also of course, the losing side has no power to do it.
