Bidengate Breaks... err... down

Representative James Comer had a complete meltdown Tuesday when asked about loans he appears to have given his brother.

Comer has insisted for months that Joe Biden is guilty of corruption, most recently citing a check the president gave his brother Jim Biden in 2018. But last week, a Daily Beast report revealed that Comer and his own brother have engaged in multiple land swaps over the years through family-owned businesses that do not appear to actually exist.

When Democratic Representative Jared Moskowitz asked Comer about the loans during a House hearing Tuesday, Comer grew incensed.

“I’ve never loaned my brother one penny,” Comer said, calling the story “completely false.”

Comer also said it was “bullshit” that the story said he owned a shell company. As he continued to deny that he had loaned his brother money or that his family had engaged in shady business dealings, he grew more heated.

“You look like a Smurf here, just going around and stuff!” he yelled at Moskowitz. “You continue to spew disinformation!”

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on X: "The reason GOP ..." / X
The reason GOP don’t want a public hearing on Hunter Biden is because @OversightDems have hoisted them by their own petards in every public hearing this year.

They’re scared of getting humiliated for not having an actual case (again), so they need to hide.

These are the same people screeching at the top of their lungs "Release the Jan6 tapes to the public!", right?

If Hunter Biden has them by the short hairs, he should punch back hard and do so in public.

:D

I just got 85% ground beef for $3.79/lb.
Yea, but the last place I worked in Alaska it was $6.00/lb.
You got it for $3.79
plus $2.21 shipping.

Where I lived it came by boat or plane and that's it.

For free?

I'm pretty sure I saved nearly as much as my airfare to Anchorage cost by making most of my luggage a chest cooler packed full of dry goods, like noodles, rice, and beans.

That was back in the 80s. Maybe things are different now.

Brandon's son Hunter is feeling the heat;

Hunter Biden spent a staggering $870,000 on prostitutes, sex club memberships and porn and took out $1.6million from cash machines in the wild spending spree laid out in the bombshell tax evasion indictment filed on Wednesday night. Federal prosecutors claim the president's scandal-hit son spent almost $5million on a lavish lifestyle between 2016 and 2019 while failing to pay $1.4million taxes in a case that leaves him facing a maximum 17 years in prison. The indictment set to be a disaster for his father's 2024 run for president alleges that he 'spent this money on drugs, escorts and girlfriends, luxury hotels and rental properties, exotic cars, clothing, and other items of a personal nature, in short, everything but his taxes.' Hunter is now facing two criminal trials in the middle of his father's campaign. In Delaware he is facing a maximum of 25 years in prison for allegedly lying about about being a drug user when he bought a gun. All nine charges, filed in California on Thursday, relate to tax. They include two felony charges for filing a false return, a felony charge for tax evasion, four failure to pay charges, and a further two charges for failure to file. 'The Defendant engaged in a four-year scheme to not pay at least $1.4 million in self-assessed federal taxes he owed for tax years 2016 through 2019,' it reads. These latest allegations come as Biden's son already faces three felony charges that carry a maximum combined 25 years incarceration and $250,000 fine.

The Big Guy and his brother will be next.

Hunter Biden, the smartest person Joe knows. Sounds about right.

You'd have thought TSwizzie would have learned to manage expectations by now...

Are you suggesting that the DNC didn't bother to check whether President Biden paid his taxes?

Though I'm certain that laptop will come out with something that connects Biden to unbridled riches any time now.

I think the tacit admission underlying all the talk about Biden's gaffes and kid and such is that he's doing a very good job considering what he was handed and the circumstances he's had to deal with.

The more your side obsesses with Hunter the better his father looks. If you had any real argument you would use it--bogus attacks like this are an admission of a lack of actual wrongdoing.

And that drug user/gun bit is facing a constitutional challenge. It's an idiotic part of the war on drugs--what counts is what's in your body, not what you sometimes use. You shouldn't handle a gun when you're on drugs--but that includes alcohol and a decent number of prescriptions, also. None of them should preclude owning a gun.

(Although I wouldn't mind actual DUI being a prohibiting crime on drugs. You've shown you aren't careful with dangerous stuff. I say "actual" because I do not believe in DUI for being in control of a car that isn't going anywhere. You can be drunk and use your car for shelter without endangering anyone. Even if that shelter means you're running the engine.)

I concur.

I would certainly include adrenalin on the list of prohibiting substances though.

Any person in possession of a functioning endocrine system is completely unsuited to being allowed to employ deadly force.

I wonder if TSwizzle is butthurt that Comer wouldn't let Hunter testify. He's awfully quiet about that bit of the Hunter drama.
