Could Trump resign within 60 days?

I think Pence and a few other close advisors are sitting down with Trump right now, explaining to him how resignation is his only way to avoid being removed by either the 25th, or impeachment. It is at least possible that he will finally see that resignation is the least worst thing that could happen to him now. I give it better than even odds that he will resign by the end of the week. If he has not resigned by then, however, I don't think he will.

No way he resigns. You’re assuming he could be swayed by reason. He is mentally defective. Pence is a traitor in his eyes now.

When I saw trump's speech today condemning the nazi morons and calling them shameful and a disgrace and calling for criminal charges after hearing that Pence was not going to 25th Trump, I thought Pence and the cabinet ganged up on Trump telling him to condemn the nazis and call for peace and stfu about fraud and tell them you're not fighting the election anymore or we WILL 25th your ass. Seems like a real possibility.

That's what I thought too. Also, he's trying to protect himself against impeachment and possible criminal prosecution (in case the courts decide he can't pardon himself). As well, he saw how the media was covering it, and saw Mitch, Lindsay, and Mike, and Bill had all turned against him and rats were fleeing the ship--and the army hasn't been supporting him. I noticed too that he managed to lie about him sending in the national Guard, and spoke as if that had been done expeditiously. One of the big points in establishing his complicity in the violence was his deliberate withholding of teh National Guard--even with the nutty right nutters, it could seem that Trump's withholding the National Guard let anitfa nutters have their way in the "Temple" of American Democracy.

I think you are right. I was hoping that conversation was going to be them telling him to resign or get the 25th, but that would require them to actually have spines, and care about the country.
