Nope. Again angelo struggles with facts. The markets were up 258% over Obama's 8 years. Trump couldn't match that level of growth even though he stole TRILLIONS from the taxpayers and dumped it straight into the markets. Obama inherited 10% unemployment from the Bush recession and achieved a steady decline through his tenure, reaching 4.7% in 2016. IOW he reduced unemployment by more than half. Trump couldn't do that even with all his thievery and manipulation.

Now we're back where Republicans since Eisenhower have all tried to push us. We have a drained treasury, record debt, flat markets, vast economic inequity and a public health system that can't deal with the realities of the day. Even those Republicans with IQs above room temperature recognize how extremely incompetent, malevolent, mendacious and avaricious Jabba the President is.

I guess that kind of news doesn't make it to Rupert's Australia though.

I note with great pleasure that a number of newspapers in Australia owned by Murdoch have shut down. And more are now online only, their print operations are shutting down. Die Newscorp, die!

You happy over the wrong thing. In Australia there used to be legislation called cross media ownership laws. Basically the legislation was that if you owned a newspaper, you can't own a radio station or tv network and vice versa. The spirit of this was to prevent parts of the media to be controlled by one particular ideology. Every time a conservative government was elected the laws were weakened until around 2017 when the laws basically became non existent. Newscorp's two biggest papers, The Telegraph and The Australian, are still very much in business, they have launched their own radio network Illyria Pty Ltd and Sky News is increasing its online presence. Yes a couple of lesser local newspapers have shut down, but News Ltd has adapted to the weakened regulation and are a bigger influence in Australian media than ever before because of this.
