Anyway, so what if they're coming in "onesies and twosies"? Those numbers add up over time. I'm sure DeSantis could round up 50 or so Cuban migrants awaiting a decision on their immigration applications on any given day in Miami. Why go all the way to Texas to find migrants fleeing a socialist State?

Florida does not have the immigrant population that Texas does, although California and New York actually have more pending immigrant cases than Texas does. DeSantis chose to pick his political props from Texas, probably in part because of that competition between himself and Abbott. Abbott also has also been bussing immigrants to those other states to "share" the burden, even though his state actually has fewer immigrants to deal with. DeSantis didn't want to be stuck with no immigrant shuffling and leave all of the attention to Abbott. In fact, DeSantis seems to have upstaged Abbott in terms of delighting Republicans nationally with his cruel stunt.

Because by law if Cuban refugees make it to shore they are allowed to stay. The Republicans are fine with this as it goes along with the whole anti-communism schtick. They spew anti communism/Castro talking points and the Cuban Americans vote for them.

Actually, DeSantis partially added to his troubles because he used Venezuelan refugees for his stunt, and they are protected by similar law for similar reasons.

So in that one word "we" I included a Democrat, a Republican, and a Libertarian. Gee, what other factor could it be that the three of us have in common. Not gender. I'm not currently elected to any political office. Hmm, what else could it be.
