One of the main sponsors of terrorism (and just as importantly the main sponsor of fundamentalist mosques in countries where a more relaxed brand of Islam is traditional, from Bosnia to Indonesia, thus potentially breeding "homegrown" terrorist groups in countries where this otherwise wouldn't have been an issue) is Saudi Arabia. Funnily enough, that's no reason to break ties with them, while Iran doing maybe (if that) one tenth the funding of extremism counts as good enough to paint them as Satan?

Saudi Arabia has been getting better about it. Iran has been getting worse.

That's been the justification for the US' choice of allies in the region 35 years ago as well. It was as wrong then as it is now.
 
Israel as the only democracy in a sea of theocracy and terrorists states is the only truly US ally.
It wasn't so under the Obama regime.

In former eras the world wasn't "that" dependent of oil like it is today.

For The US having great potential wells of oil to exploit, there is not much need of Middle East oil dependency, but this is not the same scenario with Europe. countries which are risking the safety of their societies to keep running their economies thanks to oil fuel.

Europe can reach great inventions like electric cars, house electric with solar panels, wind and etc... but war tanks, war airplanes, war ships can't be build with alternative greenworld friendly source of energy. The war machinery will require of the best quality of oil in the world: the Middle East oil.

Wrong, and wrong.
The US has been having a strong alliance with many of the Gulf States at least since the Gulf war in 1991. Indeed it appears that US hostility against Iran is driven more by the Saudis' rivalry with them than by anything between them and Israel. And none of that changed during the Obama years, if anything, the Bushes were the most Saudi-friendly presidents in history.

You really should read up on recent history if you don't want to look ridiculous while making claims about it.

Neither is Christianity, except for Christians who simply ignore much of what the Bible commands. Like Christians who do exactly that, the vast majority of Muslims does likewise.
