Hollywood "Goes Woke" Again and Casts Black Woman as 007

 
 
 
Half, did anyone ever explain to you that Deep Space 9 was in the same universe as The Enterprise but not a re-do?
Sisco was not 'black James Kirk.'
Janeway was not 'female James Kirk.'
This 007 is just a continuation of the story you hold so terribly dear to your heart.
So, Bond is a Scot. Do you know how many actual Scotsmen have played Bond on the big screen? Or doesn't that matter to your idea of character integrity?

That is how most people are responding to the news on youtube. Like I said, it has about 200 likes to about 2,000 dislikes right now. This indicates people aren't falling for the "woke" nonsense.

There is a difference between diversity and pandering to diversity. They easily could have made a new standalone movie with a female lead that has nothing to do with Bond. No one would care about that. And we know it has nothing to do with racism because people were saying"I'm against them remaking Shaft with a white male lead."

Does it matter? The point is that now it's not even politically correct any more for a white male to have the role of 007.

It's the Marvel disease - black Captain America, female Thor are acceptable changes to these superheroes but where is the White Panther as ruler of Wakanda?

It has nothing to do with oppression. It's like those commercials you see that have an Asian, a black, a white, and a Latino all hanging out as friends. That is obvious pandering to FORCED diversity. That is not natural diversity. They are trying to score woke points.

There are around 170,000 "so whats" that aren't counted because it wasn't worth their time to push a button about it.
It is very easy to believe that among the emotionally invested in the code numbers of fictional characters, any sort of change would be disruptive to whatever small amount of cognition they might retain.

No, someone brought up a good point in the comments about how Hockey gets called out for its lack of diversity of black players, yet no one EVER calls out the NBA for lack of diversity of white players.

See how it's one-sided? If something has less blacks, that's very very bad! If something has less whites, that's very very good!
 
I really, really want to see Hollywood say, "We made a mistake, we are not casting 007 as a black woman", and then cast 007 as a gay white man.
