Actually, Zelensky has expressed a desire for what he calls "genuine peace negotiations". It is extremely difficult to see how that is possible with a man like Putin in charge of Russia, but the reality is that Putin probably is not going to fall from power in the near future and any likely replacement would be just as bad or worse. However, this call by Zelensky for general negotiations is, again, for public consumption. What goes on behind the scenes is another matter. Obviously, neither side can make concessions publicly, especially with the way social media turns everything into clickbait and memefests. At some point, there will be a shaky negotiated ceasefire that will be violated multiple times, just like in the past. Ukraine will not stop trying to get its stolen territories back and reparations for the horrors that Russia has committed. Russian governments will continue to maintain that they are the rightful rulers of Eastern Europe, delusional and crazy as that now sounds to the rest of the world. They aren't getting themselves out of the hole that Putin dug them into for a very long time. Not unless there is a complete makeover of their internal power structure and democracy makes another attempt at a comeback. Belarus sits silent and, apparently, docile in all of this, but we know that there is a longing in that country for democratic rule and an end to Russian domination.

Zelensky's caveat was negotiating with the next Russian president not Putin. Stating the obvious, negotiating with Putin is pointless.

Today Zelensky indicated he’d be open to talks on Russian withdrawal and reparations. But he didn’t indicate whether he meant that to include Crimea. I doubt Putler will take it. He wants to damage Ukraine as much as he can to extract concessions. He probably can’t afford to pay much in reparations. But some contributions should be required. It will take a full international effort.

Putin has like 80% support in Russia. And in general, public opinion is tilting toward complete occupation of Ukraine, simply because it's pointless to leave anything which neocons can use again.

Can you be more specific? What do you consider to be the traits of Nazis? Is it antisemitism? Is that what they are? Is it the invasion of other countries? Like say, if some country, for example, had previously pledged to respect the borders of a nation and then just maybe a newer President published an article saying that country hasn’t historically existed and launched an attack aimed at capturing the capital?
what about someone like this dude with SS and other nazi tattoos? Is this guy a Nazi? Just curious. Cause without definitions, we’re just flying blind.

People who are following this conflict closer than myself suspect that there is some kind of deal between parties. I mean if US agrees to leave Ukraine then Russia will leave some of it too.
